Remember Coca-Cola’s Cherry Vanilla? That delicious, creamy soda you loved but mysteriously vanished from shelves earlier this year? Well, Pepsi is here to answer your taste buds’ prayers with a brand-new flavor that promises to fill the void left by the beloved Coca-Cola variant. Read on to discover Pepsi’s exciting twist on the classic flavor.

Introducing Wild Cherry & Cream Pepsi

Pepsi is launching its all-new Wild Cherry & Cream soda on January 20th, 2025. This release reimagines the fan-favorite Wild Cherry Pepsi, adding a sweet and indulgent creamy finish for a truly irresistible treat. Imagine the tart, juicy essence of Wild Cherry Pepsi blended with the smooth richness of Pepsi Cream Soda or Pepsi Vanilla. The result is a delightfully sweeter and more decadent flavor experience.

The launch of Wild Cherry & Cream Pepsi comes nearly a year after Coca-Cola discontinued its beloved Cherry Vanilla soda. So, if you’ve been missing that creamy, cherry-flavored delight, look no further. Pepsi’s latest flavor will be available in both regular and zero-sugar options, ensuring that even those cutting their sugar intake can satisfy their cravings.

What does Wild Cherry & Cream Pepsi taste like?

Bailey Fink of AllRecipes.com was one of the few lucky ones who tasted the Wild Cherry & Cream Pepsi ahead of its official release. In a news post, she shared that while she doesn’t consider herself a die-hard fan of Wild Cherry Pepsi—her usual preference is Diet Pepsi—she admits the new flavor is a game-changer. Wild Cherry Pepsi, previously her occasional choice, now moves to third place on her list, with Wild Cherry & Cream taking the second spot.

According to Fink, Wild Cherry & Cream Pepsi bears some resemblance to Coca-Cola’s discontinued Cherry Vanilla flavor, but it’s more comparable to Dr. Pepper’s Strawberries & Cream soda. The beverage offers a similar burst of sweet, fruity flavor with a subtle hint of vanilla. What stands out most is its creamy texture, which Fink describes as reminiscent of a “dirty soda,” offering a smooth and indulgent mouthfeel without any actual cream. For those who tried Dr. Pepper’s Creamy Coconut soda during the summer, the creamy finish might feel familiar.

Fink has only sampled the full-sugar version but is eager to try the zero-sugar variety when it launches in January.

Is Wild Cherry & Cream Pepsi here to stay?

Pepsi’s Wild Cherry & Cream soda isn’t just a temporary treat—it’s a permanent addition to the brand’s lineup and will be widely accessible to soda lovers.

Unlike Pepsi’s recent limited-edition releases, such as the Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread—which was exclusively available through TikTok Shop and a holiday giveaway—the Wild Cherry & Cream flavor will be sold in 12-ounce cans at retailers nationwide for the foreseeable future. However, for those looking to enjoy the new flavor in 20-ounce bottles, the original and zero-sugar versions will be available only for a limited time.
