Wendy’s is embracing the dark side of fast food with help from a certain gothic icon.

In a delightfully twisted crossover with Netflix’s Wednesday, the chain has announced its most unhinged meal yet: the Meal of Misfortune. Launching August 11, it’s a black-hearted combo designed by Wednesday Addams herself, complete with sinister sauces, cryptic packaging, and a Frosty that looks like it’s bleeding.

Let’s break it down: inside the bag you’ll find Rest in 10-Piece Nuggets, Cursed & Crispy Fries, and a small Raven’s Blood Frosty, which swirls dark cherry with Wendy’s classic vanilla, all wrapped in limited-edition packaging that practically begs you to embrace your inner outcast.

But the real torment is the Dips of Dread — four mysterious sauces with names like You Can’t Hyde, This Will Sting, Grave Mistake, and Nowhere to Woe. You won’t know which two you’re getting until you open the box. And no, you can’t ask. Wednesday wouldn’t allow it.

The launch aligns with the premiere of Wednesday Season 2, Part 1 on Netflix, and is rolling out in Wendy’s locations across the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and Guam. Early access begins August 4 in U.S. restaurants and on the Wendy’s app.

Wendy’s is no stranger to cheeky collaborations, but this one feels especially on-brand — a little bit eerie, a little bit extra, and fully self-aware. According to Wendy’s CMO Liz Geraghty, “It was a match made in dark, dry-witted heaven.”

The Meal of Misfortune is only here for a limited time. And whether you’re a goth kid at heart or just down to try something weirdly wonderful, this might be the only time it’s socially acceptable to dip your nuggets in doom.
