Verizon has revealed details about its Verizon myPlan customizable 5G smartphone plan, which gives customers the power to choose what services they want, while simultaneously saving money.
Verizon’s goal in launching the new Verizon myPlan smartphone plan is to offer users a wireless plan that fits their needs. This new plan targets users who want the freedom and flexibility to determine what services their smartphone plan encompasses to ensure they are getting maximum value for their money and avoid paying for services they don’t need.
In addition to providing new and existing customers with the freedom to customize their plan, users of the Verizon myPlan smartphone plan get to take advantage of discounts from content/entertainment service providers who are partnering with Verizon, and the freedom to change their plan whenever they like through the My Verizon app.
How Verizon MyPlan works
The process of switching to Verizon myPlan begins with choosing what Unlimited network you want. Verizon is offering users two options: Unlimited Welcome and Unlimited Plus.
Users who choose the Unlimited Welcome network will have access to “fast and reliable” 5G, while users of the Unlimited Plus network will have access to Verizon’s fastest 5G Ultra-Wideband network, 30GB of premium mobile hotspot data, and up to 50% off a watch or tablet plan.
In addition to the perks of the Unlimited Plus plan, Verizon representatives clarified that the Unlimited Plan will have no smartphone data caps or data throttling – however, your mobile hotspot speeds will be reduced to 3Mbps when using 5G Ultra-Wideband and 600 Kbps when using 5G/4G LTE after you exhaust the 30GB hotspot data on the Unlimited Plus plan.
The representative also informed us of a limited-time offer from Verizon: a price lock on users’ monthly plan for three years, however, terms and conditions apply, so we advise you to review them before signing up for the plan.
The perks
After choosing your network, you’ll get to choose from a list of content and services to customize your plan. Verizon is calling the available content and services “perks” because it is offering them at $10/month each, providing users with savings on each one of them. Users have over 1,000 possible combinations of options, enabling them to create a plan that truly meets their needs.
Some of the more popular plan options include Unlimited Plus with Apple One, which gives you access to Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and iCloud+; Unlimited Plus with Disney Bundle, which gives you access to Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu; Unlimited Welcome with a Walmart+ Membership, which gives you free delivery from Walmart stores and access to Paramount+; and an Apple Music Family plan that gives up to 6 family members access to Apple Music and the Apple Music Classical app.
How much does the Verizon myPlan Cost?
