EcoFlow, a major player in sustainable energy tech, just launched its most advanced U.S. product to date, the OCEAN Pro. This product is a home energy storage system designed to help homeowners navigate rising electricity bills, power outages, and extreme weather events.
Unveiled today, July 15, the OCEAN Pro marks EcoFlow’s U.S. debut of a system already proven in Europe. With more than 17,000 installations overseas, the tech company is betting big that Americans are ready for a smarter, more resilient home energy solution.
Built for High-Stress States Like California, Texas, and Florida

Designed with energy-stressed regions in mind, OCEAN Pro automatically pulls power from solar panels, high-capacity batteries, and even gasoline generators when needed. It’s built to handle everything from rolling blackouts to skyrocketing energy rates and severe weather events.
“OCEAN Pro isn’t just backup power, it’s complete energy independence made simple,” said Jenny Zhang, president of EcoFlow’s North America residential energy business.
Each OCEAN Pro battery holds 10 kWh of energy and can scale up to 80 kWh. The system delivers 24 kW of continuous output, providing enough power to run all major appliances in a home, including HVAC systems, EV chargers, and pool equipment.
In the event of a grid outage, it switches to backup power in just 10 milliseconds. Compared to competitors like Tesla’s Powerwall 3, EcoFlow says OCEAN Pro offers double the solar capacity, double the backup power, and 67% more peak power.
The OCEAN Pro is Built for Harsh Conditions and Long-Term Use

The OCEAN Pro includes flood resistance up to 2.6 feet, IP67 waterproofing, and a fire prevention module as part of its TriShield Protection System. It’s also the first in its class to meet the UL 9540B safety certification, a critical standard in the energy storage industry. Additionally, it comes with a 15-year warranty, which is five years longer than the industry standard.
With real-time energy tracking and AI-based forecasting through the EcoFlow app, homeowners can optimize usage based on pricing and weather, potentially saving up to 118% on their electric bills. The system also supports smart home platforms like Alexa, Google Nest, and Apple Home.
Through EcoFlow’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP) network, users can sell excess energy back to the grid and earn money during high-demand hours, even when solar output is limited.
Beautiful Aesthetics and Personalized Support

EcoFlow also paid attention to aesthetics. The OCEAN Pro is available in three premium finishes: modern aluminum, classic walnut wood, and lightweight carbon fiber. Installations include a complimentary energy consultation, app-based progress tracking, and support from a growing network of nearly 100 installation partners nationwide.
The OCEAN Pro is available for pre-order starting today, July 15. Interested customers can register through EcoFlow’s official website and connect with authorized local installers to begin the process.
