Sprite is turning up the chill factor with a fresh, fruity addition to its popular lineup. Building on the success of the original Sprite Chill—now a permanent part of the brand’s portfolio—a bold new flavor is hitting shelves. Introducing Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi, a vibrant blend of sweet strawberry and tangy kiwi, crafted to deliver an irresistibly refreshing, cooling sensation. But fans should act fast, as there’s no word yet on whether this flavor will stick around for the long haul.

Sprite Chill Expands with a Bold Strawberry Kiwi Flavor

Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi is a new flavor variation of Sprite Chill, offering a blend of the classic lemon-lime Sprite taste with the sweet and tangy flavors of strawberry and kiwi. It also includes the “cooling sensation” that is a hallmark of the Sprite Chill line. Unfortunately, Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi doesn’t have a Zero Sugar version, at least for now.

Officially launching today, March 17th, Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi is available exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide. According to AllRecipes, The new Sprite Chill variant is available in 12-packs of 12-ounce cans, perfect for sharing or stocking up, and 20-ounce bottles, offering a convenient option for on-the-go refreshment.

As of this writing, 20-ounce bottles of Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi are priced at $2.38 each on the Walmart website. Currently, Walmart has no listing for 12-packs of 12-ounce cans of Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi. However, based on the prices of Sprite Chill Cherry Lime and Sprite Chill Cherry Lime Zero Sugar, this packaging for the new variant would likely be priced between $10.50 and $12. Of course, prices may vary by location.

Fans React to Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi

The release announcement of Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi has generated considerable buzz among consumers and soda enthusiasts. Many express excitement over this new flavor combination, with one Reddit user stating, “…Strawberry kiwi has been my main flavor in everything dating back to middle school when I used to get the strawberry kiwi Welch/Snapple drinks.”

However, reactions to the taste have been mixed. While some appreciate the innovation, others feel it doesn’t fully capture the nostalgic flavors they anticipated. A Redditor who got the chance to taste Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi ahead of its official release shared their experience: “This one was alright, but it was a bit disappointing. The strawberry flavor was underwhelming, and I could barely taste the kiwi at all. Mystik Strawberry Kiwi is a lot better.”

How Sprite Chill Became a Permanent Coca-Cola Offering

Although Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi is likely a limited-time offering given its Walmart exclusivity, Sprite Chill’s original flavor, Cherry Lime, and its Zero Sugar variant are now part of Coca-Cola’s permanent brand portfolio.

First introduced in April, Sprite Chill Cherry Lime, which features a bold cherry-lime flavor and a proprietary cooling sensation, quickly became Coca-Cola’s top-selling innovation in North America for 2024, generating $50 million in retail sales within just 21 weeks, according to the company’s Q3 2024 earnings report. During a 13-week period, it boosted purchases among existing Sprite consumers by 4.4% and achieved 88% of the total sales of Starry—PepsiCo’s lemon-lime soda introduced in 2023.

“[Chill] grew Sprite trademark household penetration, which is amazing in a mature category. It recruited consumers into the trademark, which is unbelievable and a standard we always want to achieve with innovation,” said Kate Schaufelberger, brand director for Sprite at The Coca-Cola Company, in a statement to MarketingDive.

Given these strong results, making Sprite Chill a permanent part of the portfolio was a “no-brainer,” Schaufelberger explained.

For Sprite Chill’s second year, Coca-Cola is hoping to introduce the brand overseas. “That’s going to be a great next chapter in international markets where Sprite is ripe for growth,” Schaufelberger said. “There’s ample opportunity to bring this experience and product there.”
