Spotify and Hulu partner for a $12.99 subscription bundle

The bundle saves you $5.00 a month

Spotify and Hulu have teamed up to offer users a significant discount when bundling the two streaming subscription services together. Starting today, the new subscription plan entitled “Spotify Premium, now with Hulu” brings together both services for $12.99 per month. That equates to a $5.00 monthly savings in comparison to subscribing to both services separately.

This offer is similar to the college student bundle that Hulu and Spotify began being offerring to students a couple of months back, except this new bundle will be available for everyone.

Spotify Premium subscribers are going to be amongst the first to be able to take advantage of this new bundle. But come the summer, the bundle will be rolled out to everyone.

In addition to this $12.99 a month bundle, existing Spotify Premium subscribers can take advantage of a 99 cent promotional offer to try the Hulu Limited Commercials plan for three months.

We think this news is pretty significant. For starters, everyone likes saving money. We also like the idea of having multiple subscription plans bundled into one plan, and we’d certainly like to see more companies go this route. With that said, Hulu’s catalog has really dwindled in quality over the past year or so, so a partnership like with Spotify is a very smart move for the company. We just hope that Hulu’s catalog improves soon, or even a bundle discount won’t be enough to keep us subscribed to Hulu.
