Slice just dropped a new flavor, and it’s already got fans sprinting to the soda aisle.

The revived ‘80s soda brand has been on a roll since its comeback earlier this year, first reappearing with six throwback flavors and then quickly expanding to include Cherry Cola and Ginger Ale. Now, Slice is keeping the momentum going with something fresh for summer: Watermelon.

The new Watermelon Slice clocks in at just 35 calories, skips the high fructose corn syrup, and leans into the “functional soda” trend with a blend of real fruit juice, prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics.

But unlike the other Slice flavors you’ll find at Costco or your neighborhood grocery chain, this one’s a bit harder to get. It’s exclusive to Albertsons stores, meaning you’ll need to hit up places like Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, or Shaw’s if you want to grab a can. Look for it in the refrigerated section, because a watermelon soda deserves to be ice-cold. If you’ve been hunting for the actual drink of the summer, this might be it.

About Slice soda

The beloved soda that first hit shelves in 1984 has been completely reimagined by Suja Life, the company known for their health-conscious drinks.

What makes this new Slice Soda special? It’s still got that nostalgic taste that’ll transport you right back to your childhood, but now it’s packed with gut-friendly ingredients like prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics. You get all the bold carbonation and full flavor you remember, just with a lot more benefits.

Each can keeps things light with 40 calories or fewer and just 5 grams of sugar max. Plus, you won’t find any high fructose corn syrup hiding in there.
