Has Scarlett Johansson officially joined the cast of Jurassic World 4?
No. Scarlett Johansson hasn’t been officially announced as one of the stars of Jurassic World 4 yet. But rumors claiming that she will be leading the cast of Universal Pictures’ new Jurassic World movie had been circulating online since earlier this March 2024. These speculations were then seemingly confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter on March 25 of the same year with a report saying that the actress is indeed in talks to star in the movie.
If Johansson ends up heading the acting ensemble of Jurassic World 4, this would mark her return to the world of franchises. As fans can remember, Johansson debuted as Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film Iron Man 2 in 2010. She then reprised her superhero role in The Avengers (2012), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Captain Marvel (2019), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and in her solo movie Black Widow (2021).
Johansson was last seen on the big screen in the 2023 drama film North Star. In addition to Jurassic World 4, fans can catch her in the upcoming thriller Featherwood and her voice in the animated movie Transformers One, which is set to be released later his 2024. Also coming out later this year her yet-to-be-titled movie with Channing Tatum.

Deadpool 2 director David Leitch had previously been in talks to direct Jurassic World 4. For some reason, those negotiations fell through, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards ended up getting enlisted to helm the upcoming movie.
