Samsung’s latest foldables are officially here and available for preorders, with devices shipping on July 25. The new Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and budget-friendly Z Flip 7 FE all debut with One UI 8 built on Android 16. This means you get access to deeper Gemini AI integration, redesigned apps, and powerful new features like AI Mode and Gemini Live, straight out of the box.
The brand is also throwing in six months of Google AI Pro with every device. So, whether you want top-tier productivity or pocket-sized convenience, there’s a foldable to meet your needs.
Thinnest and Lightest Samsung Foldable Yet
Samsung’s latest lineup brings major upgrades across the board. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 now features the same 200MP camera found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but in a body slimmer than the S25 Edge.
Available in black, blue, silver, and light green, the phone is powered by Samsung’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This translates to smoother screen transitions and Gemini AI features that now run directly on the cover screen for quick access.
Apps are better optimized for the fold, while the device itself is now the thinnest and lightest Z Fold yet. With up to $1,150 off for new pre-orders and up to $1,200 off for users who reserved before the launch, the Z Fold 7 is shaping up to be the best foldable of the year.
Bigger Battery and Cover Screen on the Z Flip 7
If you’re more into compact form factors, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 might be the better fit. It features a bigger 4.1-inch cover screen, a brighter display, a thinner body, and a larger 4,300mAh battery.
You still get the same 50MP + 12MP camera combo from the Z Flip 6, but with added software perks like HDR video, portrait upgrades, and a new zoom slider. Available in black, blue, and coral, you can enjoy up to $720 off when you pre-order this device or up to $770 for reserved users.
The Budget Samsung Foldable
And then there’s the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which aims to bring foldables under the $1,000 mark. It borrows its design and smaller 3.4-inch FlexWindow from the Z Flip 6, swaps in an Exynos 2400 chip, and scales back storage to a base 128GB.
It’s not flashy, but it’s functional and more affordable than its larger sibling. Painted in black and white colors, you can get up to $610 off this device with pre-order offers.
Samsung’s new foldables are all up for preorder, and they ship on July 25. Between the big AI upgrades, thinner builds, and more refined displays, these might just be the foldables worth waiting for.
