The marketing behind Star Wars films has always been relatively unique in that the films have partnered with quite a wide range of companies. Now, they can add Samsung to the list, as the technology company has announced a partnership with Star Wars ahead of The Rise of Skywalker’s film release next month. The announcement from the two brings news of a limited edition Star Wars Galaxy Note10+.
The smartphone has been revamped with a design inspired by the franchise, as well as a significant amount of digital content. As the announcement notes, the phone will include a metal badge as a collector’s item, Galaxy Buds, an S Pen, and a specially designed case.
Samsung notes that the digital content that comes with the Star Wars Galaxy Note10+ includes shutdown animations, wallpapers, icons, and sounds from the franchise. This should mean that fans of the movies will have a lot to enjoy with the special edition.
This limited edition smartphone is the latest extension of the partnership between Samsung and Lucasfilm, which has included a holiday campaign film and several other events.
The Star Wars Galaxy Note10+ will be released on December 13th for $1,299.99 and it will be available at Microsoft stores, Samsung.com, and select Best Buy stores, and more. However, it’s set to be released in only a few markets. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the film, is set to be released worldwide on December 20th.
