Popeyes brings back fan-favorite Fall dessert

The Caramel Apple Cheesecake Cup packs a rich, messy, and unapologetically sweet punch

Pumpkin might rule the season, but Popeyes just reminded us who’s really in charge when it comes to fast food desserts.

The Caramel Apple Cheesecake Cup is officially back, and if you missed it last year, this is your shot to see what the fuss was about. It’s messy, sweet, and has zero shame about it. Imagine creamy cheesecake, tart apple filling, sticky caramel, and a buttery graham cracker crust all jammed into a cup that’s definitely not big enough once you start eating it.

And yeah, it’s rich. Like, eat-it-slow-or-regret-it rich. But that’s kind of the point.

Last year, this little fall bombshell was overshadowed by Popeyes’ chocolate chip biscuit launch (which was a wild choice, in hindsight). But once people actually tried the cheesecake cup, it picked up steam. Fast. Reviews called it “absolutely divine,” “dangerous,” and “way better than it has any right to be.”

This time around, it’s not sharing the spotlight.

Maybe the best part is that it’s not pumpkin-flavored. That alone should earn it a standing ovation. We’ve hit peak gourd saturation. It’s in your coffee, your cereal, your shampoo. Popeyes went another route, which is something that still feels like fall, but doesn’t feel basic.

For now, it’s a limited-time item, so if you want to try it before it vanishes again, hit your local Popeyes sooner rather than later. And if it sells like it did last year, who knows, it might just end up becoming a fall regular. Right up there with the PSL, only better.
