Fast food value menus disappeared for a while there, inflation and rising costs being the obvious culprits. But as 2026 kicks off, chains are clawing their way back into the budget-friendly game, and Popeyes just made its move.
The Southern Fried Chicken chain is offering customers a new $5 value menu at locations nationwide. The promotion, called the $5 Faves Menu, runs from Jan. 5 through Feb. 15, 2026, and includes four menu options, each priced at $5.
It’s important to note that prices may vary by location (e.g., $6 in some areas like LA per Brandeating) to cover regional differences.
Customers can choose from three pieces of Popeyes’ signature bone-in chicken, three chicken tenders, two chicken wraps, or two regular sides. The bone-in chicken and tenders are available in classic or spicy.
The chicken wraps are made with a Popeyes chicken tender, lettuce, shredded cheese, and pickles, wrapped in a warm tortilla. The item is also offered in classic or spicy.
The two-sides option includes Cajun fries, red beans and rice, mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy, or coleslaw. And you get Homestyle mac and cheese for an extra charge.
The best part about the deal is that Popeyes says customers can also combine any two $5 items for $10. The $5 Faves Menu is available for a limited time at participating restaurants.
Popeyes isn’t playing small
Popeyes kept things interesting in 2025. Last year brought a tequila-marinated chicken sandwich for the Super Bowl, a sauce lineup hitting grocery stores for the first time, a wings menu overhaul with ghost pepper and garlic parm dry rubs, and a fall dessert (the Caramel Apple Cheesecake Cup) that had folks contemplating whether it deserved year-round status.
Not a bad run. Now, with the $5 Faves Menu kicking off 2026, it’s clear the chain isn’t slowing down. Whether it’s value deals, bold collaborations, or limited-time flavors, Popeyes seems committed to keeping customers and competitors on their toes.
