The design of the Summit 2+ draws inspiration from the Montblanc 1858 collection. That said, the new watch sports a bigger 43.5mm pure steel case that makes it significantly larger than its 42mm predecessor. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 3100 chipset with a 440mAh battery that is 40% bigger than the previous model. The watch face itself is made up of a 1.28 inch AMOLED screen. Also new is the fact that it comes with a built-in speaker for phone calls and voice commands, and the watch now charges via USB-C.

The Summit 2+ comes shipped with a built-in watch face configurator which allows the customization of different elements of the watch face such as hands, indicators, and background. With that, Montblanc promises over a thousand watch faces. Four different stainless steel color options, in addition to a 22mm interchangeable watch strap, help add to the customization options of the Summit 2+.

Montblanc says that the Summit 2+ is able to deliver a full day of battery despite operating on Wear OS and utilizing an always-on watch face. The company says switching to a tilt-to-wake screen and deactivating some of the smart watch’s functionalities can increase the battery life by 3 to 5 more days.

This kind of technology is often used by astronauts and athletes and is built based on the latest principles in sleep and circadian neuroscience. Apart from these, travel-savvy users may also find a lot of use for the on-board voice-activated translator as well as the Montblanc Travel Info app. The watch is also equipped with NFC and Google Pay for fast, cashless transactions.
