The magic of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary is about to land directly in your Happy Meal, as McDonald’s launches a colossal, limited-time collection guaranteed to unleash your inner collector. This is not a typical promotion — it’s a spectacular celebration featuring an unprecedented wave of collectible toys, transforming the Golden Arches into a historic treasure trove.

Drawing from the iconic universes of classic Disney, groundbreaking Pixar, epic Marvel, and the Star Wars galaxy, this campaign is perhaps the most ambitious Happy Meal collection ever attempted. Whether you’re a casual fan or a dedicated collector, the hunt for these miniature masterpieces will be your biggest challenge yet. Read on to find out exactly which figures are hitting the box before you rush out and start your epic search.

What’s in McDonald’s Disneyland Resort Happy Meal?

McDonald’s is partnering with Disneyland Resort to roll out a special Happy Meal created just for the resort’s 70th anniversary celebration. As Disney marks this milestone year, the fast-food chain is launching a commemorative meal packed with 70 different Disney-themed collectibles.

The lineup spans decades of beloved characters — from timeless icons like Mickey Mouse and Snow White to modern favorites such as Moana and Judy Hopps, plus select heroes and villains from the Marvel and Star Wars universes. Each figure sits atop a Disneyland 70 base, a nod to the Fab 50 Character Collection that appeared across Disney World during its own 50th anniversary festivities.

The fun extends beyond the toys, too. By scanning the included QR code, fans can jump into virtual, maze-style adventures that let them explore parts of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park while gathering festive items and encountering familiar characters.

Every Disneyland Resort Happy Meal — available with a hamburger, a four-piece Chicken McNuggets, or a six-piece Chicken McNuggets — comes with two collectible toys, plus fries, apple slices, and a drink. The limited-time meal arrives on December 2 and will take the place of the current Zootopia 2 Happy Meal promotion.

The history of Disneyland Resort

The history of the Disneyland Resort begins with Walt Disney’s revolutionary dream to create a clean, safe, and immersive park where parents and children could enjoy time together. Initially planned for a small plot next to his studios in Burbank, the vision quickly expanded, leading to the purchase of a 160-acre plot of former orange groves in Anaheim, California. Working with his team of “Imagineers,” Walt brought his cinematic storytelling to life, pioneering the modern concept of the “theme park.”

Disneyland Park officially opened on July 17, 1955, featuring five iconic lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. Despite a chaotic debut, the park was an immediate success, validating Walt’s belief that his creation would never be finished. This commitment led to constant innovation and the addition of beloved attractions like the Matterhorn Bobsleds and Space Mountain throughout the decades.

The most significant transformation occurred in the late 1990s and early 2000s when the area evolved into the larger Disneyland Resort. This massive expansion introduced a second theme park, Disney California Adventure (2001), along with the Downtown Disney District and new hotels. Continuing to build on Walt’s original vision, the Resort ensures that its magic stays current with major new additions like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, cementing its status as a dynamic and enduring cultural icon.
