Get ready, ARMY! Following the incredible success of their first partnership, McDonald’s and global phenomenon BTS are once again reuniting for a very exciting collaboration. While the previous one was all about the supergroup’s favorite order at the fast-food giant, this time includes collectibles, as the K-pop icons’ TinyTAN characters are finally making their debut as Happy Meal toys.

TinyTAN Happy Meals go global this September

Back in 2021, when BTS partnered with McDonald’s for their iconic BTS Meal, their fans—better known as ARMY—immediately began asking for something more: BTS-themed Happy Meal toys.

Over the years, suggestions poured in, with favorites including the group’s beloved TinyTAN mini-figures and their LINE FRIENDS characters, BT21. While McDonald’s did roll out BT21 toys in 2023, they were limited to select Asian markets, leaving global fans still waiting for their turn.

That wait is finally over. Beginning September 3, McDonald’s is launching a worldwide Happy Meal collaboration featuring TinyTAN, the animated versions of BTS’s seven members. For the first time ever, fans will get not just one but two collectible sets.

The first, the “Throwback Edition,” launches September 3 and pays homage to the original 2021 BTS Meal with figurines dressed in those iconic promo outfits. Then, on September 23, the second wave arrives with the “Encore Edition,” debuting fresh new looks inspired by this latest collaboration.

Even the Happy Meal boxes are getting a special makeover, turning this drop into a true collector’s treasure. And once you’ve grabbed your meal, you can head to HappyMeal.com, scan the code on the box, and unlock the TinyTAN Power Up game, where the TinyTAN crew cheers you on as you sing along to your favorite BTS hits.

McDonald’s to host TinyTAN Magic Meetup in Los Angeles

McDonald’s is taking the celebration offline, too. Fans in Los Angeles can look forward to a “Magic Meetup” on September 27–28 at NYA West, where the world of TinyTAN comes alive through an immersive, multisensory experience packed with music, energy, and plenty of Happy Meal magic.

More details on the event are still under wraps, keeping anticipation high. And with the Encore Edition on the horizon, ARMY can also expect a wave of fresh commercials and promo shoots, marking BTS’s first major campaign together since reuniting in June after completing their military service.

Why the TinyTAN Happy Meals are poised to be McDonald’s next big thing

The 2021 BTS Meal proved to be one of McDonald’s most successful collaborations to date, rolling out across nearly 50 countries and driving a massive surge in sales. In the U.S. alone, it fueled a 26% jump in quarterly revenue, while internationally it broke records for app downloads as fans scrambled to secure their meals. Limited-edition merchandise sold out instantly, and even the packaging became a hot commodity, resold online for staggering prices. Social media lit up with millions of posts under hashtags like #BTSMeal, transforming the promotion into both a cultural and commercial phenomenon. With that kind of track record, the new TinyTAN Happy Meals are poised for similar—if not greater—success. Combined with BTS’s recent reunion and upcoming 2026 World Tour, the timing couldn’t be better—making the TinyTAN Happy Meals a likely blockbuster for both McDonald’s and ARMY worldwide.
