If you’re looking to find something new and unusual at CES, Lenovo might just have the device for you. The ThinkBook Plus is Lenovo’s newest offering that gives birth to a whole new laptop category. Setting itself apart from regular laptops, the ThinkBook Plus features an innovative e-Ink cover display that extends the laptop’s multitasking capabilities to the laptop’s lid cover.

At 10.8 inches, the e-Ink display is a monochromatic touchscreen that is capable of offering multiple functions. To start, it allows users to avoid distractions by only receiving essential notifications on the cover such as calendar appointments, instant messages, or important emails. Users can also easily control VoIP calls quickly be accessing Skype hotkeys and utilizing the built-in Skype-certified microphones.

Users can also easily take notes, sketch, and sign documents on the front display with the Lenovo Precision Pen. Notes users take can be synced with Microsoft OneNote for seamless sharing over multiple platforms. The ThinkBook Plus is also equipped with Amazon Alexa for PC which enables assistant actions such as adding items to a to-do list and checking facts with simple verbal commands. All of this technology is available even when ThinkBook Plus is closed.

For its main display, the ThinkBook Plus houses a 13.3 FHD IPS anti-glare display with less than 5.5mm narrow bezels. It’s also supported by Dolby Vision and has a resolution of 1920×1080. A fingerprint display is integrated into the power button for secure login with Windows Hello. Two Harman branded speakers sit on-board the laptop and are supported by Dolby Audio. Weighing just a little over 3lbs, the ThinkBook Plus boasts of 10-hour battery life with RapidCharge technology. There are a number of ports including 2 USB 3.0 and one USB TYPE-C, and HDMI.

Internally, the ThinkBook Plus won’t lack in power with the 10th Generation Intel Core i7 processor coupled with up to 16GB DDR4 of RAM and integrated Intel UHD graphics. Storage options vary with a combination of SSD and Intel Optane Memory of up to 512GB + 32GB. It’s also equipped with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 for connectivity.

The ThinkBook Plus will come in the Mineral Gray color and will be available in March starting at $1,199.00.
