Grab your Copper Bones Skeleton Key and get ready to drop some boulders! The Goonies are back, and this time, they’re made of LEGO bricks.

The LEGO Group just unveiled LEGO Ideas: The Goonies. It’s a 2,912-piece diorama that recreates the 1985 cult classic as an intricate, display-worthy adventure set. It’s a love letter to one of the most quotable, adventure films ever put on screen, and yes, it comes with booby traps.

Launching November 1st for LEGO Insiders and November 4th for everyone else, the massive set lets fans relive the underground chase for One-Eyed Willy’s treasure with brick-built scenes that flip between the Fratellis’ hideout, the cavern tunnels, and the legendary pirate ship Inferno. Even Sloth makes an entrance, complete with a custom pirate hat and bandana.

The idea for the set stemmed from Vaggelis Ntezes, a Greece-based 3D artist who submitted it through the LEGO Ideas platform, where fans pitch new creations for possible production. “I wanted to capture the spirit of adventure that made the film so unforgettable,” Ntezes said.

To celebrate, LEGO teamed up with Ke Huy Quan, who played Data in the original film and recently won an Oscar for starring as the Dad in Everything Everywhere All At Once.

“Revisiting Data after all these years, but this time in LEGO form, has been such a joyful experience,” Quan said. “From the booby traps to the treasure room, it’s like stepping back into the tunnels with the gang.”

Inside the finished model are a dozen minifigures: Mikey, Mouth, Chunk, Andy, Data, and the rest of the crew. Plus clever Easter eggs like Data’s utility belt, Mouth’s hairbrush, and even a nod to the movie’s deleted octopus scene. Builders can activate trapdoors, play the Skeleton Organ (careful with the wrong note), or reveal the pirate wreckage hidden beneath the caves.

Priced at $309.99, this is clearly a LEGO set designed for the grown-up LEGO crowd. And anyone who picks up the set early will also score a bonus gift: The Goonies: The Walsh’ Attic, a 179-piece mini-scene depicting the moment that Mikey and the crew first discover the treasure map. The promotion runs November 1–7, while supplies last.
