IHOP is taking pancakes to a whole new level this week. The chain known for its buttermilk classics is releasing what it calls its most luxurious pancakes to date: Dubai Chocolate Pancakes. Drawing inspiration from the viral Dubai chocolate trend, this new offering blends global flair with full-blown indulgence.

The base starts familiar enough—IHOP’s signature buttermilk stack. But from there, things get wild: toasted kataifi (shredded phyllo dough), pistachio cream, and chocolate-hazelnut spread layered between each pancake. It’s then crowned with even more pistachio cream, extra hazelnut drizzle, crunchy kataifi, chocolate curls, and a dusting of crushed pistachios.

That’s the standard version. The Luxe Dubai Chocolate Pancakes take things much further.

This upscale twist adds handmade Madagascar vanilla whipped cream, a full Dubai chocolate bar, edible 24K gold flakes, and a spray of gold glitter. Retail value: over $100. IHOP’s initial price: zero dollars (if you were quick enough).

On launch day, August 4th, the chain celebrated the launch by having three IHOP locations in the country serving the Luxe pancakes: New York (235–237 E. 14th St.), Los Angeles (913 N. San Fernando Blvd.) and Austin (707 E. Cesar Chavez St.)

The first 25 guests who arrived at each spot starting at noon (local time) got the Luxe pancakes for free. After that, customers can still try the standard Dubai Chocolate Pancakes for $13, while supplies last.
