Whataburger just dropped a summer shake that’s going to wreck your willpower in the best way.

As of August 5, the Texas-born chain is serving up a brand-new Dr Pepper Blackberry Shake—a frozen, fizzy mash-up that blends the 23 legendary flavors of Dr Pepper with Whataburger’s creamy vanilla shake and a hit of blackberry. It’s sweet, smooth, a little bit spicy, and somehow everything you didn’t know you needed from a drive-thru dessert.

This isn’t Whataburger’s first soda-inspired shake (the OG Dr Pepper Shake landed last year), but this one kicks it up with blackberry, which is a fan-favorite twist that already made waves when it dropped as a limited-run Dr Pepper flavor earlier in 2025. That soda sold fast, and now it’s got a second life in shake form.

The result is peak summer indulgence. It’s rich and nostalgic but refreshing enough to survive a triple-digit afternoon in a drive-thru line. If you’ve ever been torn between ordering a milkshake or a cold soda, this one makes the decision for you.

The Dr Pepper Blackberry Shake is only available for a limited time, and based on the buzz, it won’t stick around long.
