Dell has announced a new portable monitor, the Dell 14 Portable Monitor, that is designed to accompany mobile workers and provide them a dual-screen setup wherever they go.
The Dell 14 Portable Monitor houses a 14-inch IPS FHD display that weighs less than a pound and a half. It’s also slim at just a quarter-inch thick. The screen is designed to accompany laptops as a second display and can easily be plugged in via USB-C ports found on both sides of the device. There’s even a power pass-through for cleaner setups.
Brightness can reach up to 300 nits and it’s equipped with ComfortView technology to reduce harmful blue light emissions. The screen can tilt up to 90-degrees so users can optimize their viewing angles depending on their environment. The anti-glare coating makes it readable even facing harsh light.
For color, the Dell 14 Portable Monitor offers 72% NTSC with a color depth of 16.7 million colors. It’s also Energy Star and EPAT Gold certified.
The Dell 14 Portable Monitor (C1422H) will be available worldwide starting August 31st. Its expected retail price will start at $349.99. It’s worth noting that this product is in direct competition with Lenovo’s existing ThinkVision M14 portable monitor.
