Wienerschnitzel corn dogs are officially hitting the freezer aisle
The days of making a dedicated trip for a Wienerschnitzel corn dog will soon be over. The famous hot dog chain, renowned for its crispy, classic snacks, is making a massive leap into the freezer aisle, offering frozen versions of its iconic corn dogs for the first time. This strategic debut is made possible through a partnership with Golden West Food Group and introduces two mouthwatering options to grocery shelves.
Fans will be able to grab the familiar Original Corn Dogs, but the real surprise is the Chili Cheese Flavored Corn Dog, a bold new variety that will be sold exclusively at retail and will not be available in Wienerschnitzel restaurants. Both new frozen products will be conveniently packaged with 14 corn dogs per box.
When and where to find Wienerschnitzel corn dogs in stores
Wienerschnitzel fans won’t have to wait much longer to bring the legendary corn dogs home. Beginning in early October, the brand’s new frozen corn dogs will roll out at select grocery stores across California and Nevada, including Save Mart, FoodMaxx, Lucky, Albertsons, and Vons.
The nationwide expansion is already in the works, so fans beyond the West Coast can expect to see them in their local freezer aisles soon.
Sharing the brand’s enthusiasm, Chief Marketing Officer Doug Koegeboehn said in a press release that the corn dogs are “perfect for a meal or quick snack,” adding that partnering with Albertsons and Save Mart Brands gives shoppers an exciting first taste of Wienerschnitzel’s iconic treat at retail.
