Chipotle is doing a chips-and-queso giveaway for National Tortilla Chip Day (Feb. 24), but it’s not the kind you get by walking in and smiling at the register.
This one’s for all the homebodies out there. The deal is free chips and queso blanco on digital orders, and it only runs from February 23 to February 25.
To redeem the offer, you need to first place an order for a full-priced entrée on the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com, or Chipotle.ca, then enter the code ‘CHIPS26’ at checkout.
The catch is the selection screen: the chips and queso must be selected as the regular-size side item (not added separately). Chipotle says the code can be used once per transaction. If you’re ordering through a third-party delivery app, it won’t work. It’s the same if you try to use it in a restaurant.
“Our chips are handmade every morning with fresh lime, and they pair perfectly with our delicious Queso Blanco. Both are made with real ingredients and no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. It’s the best way to celebrate Tortilla Chip Day with the real ingredients our guests expect from Chipotle,” Interim Chief Marketing Officer Stephanie Perdue said in a statement.
Pro tip: Since you’re already grabbing a full-priced entrée to unlock the free side, many fans swear by pairing it with a hearty bowl or burrito loaded with extras like black beans, fajita veggies, and salsa for maximum dip-worthy satisfaction.
The Queso Blanco’s creamy, peppery kick (with Monterey Jack, white cheddar, and a blend of serrano, poblano, and chipotle peppers) elevates just about any order—whether you’re team classic chicken or going veggie.
