However, after years of research and feedback from burger lovers, the Whopper is now even better—boasting juicier beef and a softer, fluffier bun for an enhanced taste experience.
As the mention of “100% British and Irish beef” suggests, this Whopper makeover appears to be exclusive to the United Kingdom. But with Burger King’s global presence, fans worldwide may soon get to experience this upgraded Whopper.
Get a Taste of the New Burger King Whopper on Whopper Day
To celebrate its Whopper makeover, Burger King is hosting a special giveaway in the U.K. on Whopper Day, March 5th, giving customers a chance to try the newly upgraded burger for free.

The giveaway is available only on March 5 until 8 p.m., allowing fans to claim one Whopper or Plant-Based Whopper with no minimum spend, while stocks last.

Burger King unveils a new Whopper variant across the pond
Over in the United States, Burger King is giving American fans even more ways to “Have it Your Way”—whether that means skipping the pickles, adding extra cheese, or even inspiring the next great Whopper creation. Last year, the brand made history with the Million Dollar Whopper Contest, inviting guests to craft their own custom Whopper. This gave birth to three mouthwatering, guest-created Whopper sandwiches launched nationwide. But BK fans wanted more.
Starting March 6th, Burger King is answering the call with the Steakhouse Bacon Whopper, the latest Whopper innovation inspired by guest requests.
This new creation brings together bold, steakhouse-inspired flavors, featuring A.1. sauce, crispy onions, bacon, Swiss cheese, creamy peppercorn aioli, lettuce, and tomato—a combination uncovered through Million Dollar Whopper Contest submissions and social media feedback. The result? A delicious twist on a classic, reminiscent of a premium steakhouse burger.
“We are constantly listening to our Guests to learn how they want to customize America’s Favorite Burger, which is why we’re so excited about the new Steakhouse Bacon Whopper,” said Christy Skylis, Vice President, Brand Marketing and Culinary, Burger King US&C, in a press release. “This creation is the result of our passionate guests and Whopper lovers, and we look forward to bringing even more guest-created and inspired creations to our menu later this year and in the future – so keep the great ideas coming!”
