Burger King is bringing back its fan-favorite Frozen Cotton Candy Cloud drink on July 14, and it’s pretty clear the chain knows exactly what its audience is craving as the temperature climbs – sugar, nostalgia, and ice.

First introduced in April 2024, the drink quickly turned into one of the most talked-about limited-time offerings from the brand in recent years. And for good reason—it’s bright blue, absurdly sweet, and engineered to appeal to anyone with a taste for childhood carnival vibes in frozen form.

This year’s version sticks to the original formula: a slushy blend of cotton candy and blue raspberry flavors, topped off (for an extra charge) with a foamy “cloud” made of chilled cream. It’s whimsical. It’s loaded with sugar. And it’s not pretending to be anything else.

The timing of the re-release lands right in the middle of what’s shaping up to be a hyper-competitive summer for fast food drinks. Starbucks just launched its triple-layer Strato Frappuccinos and Dunkin’ is pushing its second Sabrina Carpenter collab. It seems as if everyone is stacking cold foam on top of something. And Burger King, never one to sit in the corner, is throwing its glittery slush back into the ring.

In addition to the Cotton Candy Cloud, BK is putting out two other summer drinks: a returning iced coffee (basic but beloved), and a new Mango Peach Lemonade that combines real fruit juice with tart lemonade. Both are seasonal and only available while supplies last.
