Burger King is bringing back SpongeBob’s Krabby Whopper just in time for the theatrical release of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, and they’re sweetening the deal with a special promotion.

Following strong demand after its initial launch earlier this month, the fan-favorite burger, served on iconic bright yellow, square buns (colored with natural spices like turmeric), is getting extra attention ahead of the movie’s premiere on Friday, December 19.

On that day only, Royal Perks members can score a Buy One, Get One Free offer on the Krabby Whopper. The deal is available all day through the Burger King app at participating U.S. locations, while supplies last.

As we reported last month, when leaks of the full menu first surfaced (which Burger King has since officially confirmed), the SpongeBob collab features a limited-time lineup inspired by Bikini Bottom favorites:

  • SpongeBob’s Krabby Whopper: A flame-grilled quarter-pound beef patty with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, mayo, and ketchup—now on that quirky square yellow bun.
  • Pirate’s Frozen Pineapple Float: A tropical, frosty drink nodding to SpongeBob’s pineapple home.
  • Mr. Krabs’ Cheesy Bacon Tots: Crispy tots loaded with cheese and bacon bits, served in treasure chest packaging.
  • Patrick’s Star-berry Shortcake Pie: A sweet, berry-filled dessert as fun and colorful as Patrick himself.
  • Bikini Bottom Bundle: The ultimate combo with the Krabby Whopper, tots, float, and pie.

Younger fans can enjoy the SpongeBob-themed King Jr. Meals, which come in pineapple-shaped boxes and include one of six collectible toys (SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Gary, or Plankton), along with special crowns.

The themed packaging, which features ocean-inspired cups and Whopper wraps, is meant to add to the underwater vibe.

The menu officially dropped on December 2 and has been, unsurprisingly, a hit, outshining some of last year’s Wendy’s Krabby Patty Kollab, according to fans.

The movie promises a high-seas adventure with SpongeBob and friends chasing the ghostly Flying Dutchman (voiced by Mark Hamill). Returning stars include Tom Kenny as SpongeBob, Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick, and more.
