Halloween might still be days away, but Burger King’s already handing out free treats.
The fast-food chain has launched a lineup of free daily deals, running through Sunday, October 26, with something new dropping every day for customers who spend at least $1.
On Thursday, it’s a free Whopper. Friday brings a four-piece order of Chicken Fries. On Saturday, Cini Minis make a temporary comeback, also free with that $1 minimum. And on Sunday, the deal caps off with a free Whopper Jr.
Each of these offers can be redeemed once a day through the Burger King app or website under the “Offers” tab. The $1 requirement is easy enough to hit; even four dipping sauces at 25 cents apiece can qualify.
But the giveaways are really only half the fun. Burger King’s also giving its menu a spooky facelift for the season, with its Monster Menu bringing some Halloween personality to its best-known items.
For example, the Jack-O-Lantern Whopper swaps its sesame seed bun for an orange one. Vampire Nuggets come shaped like fangs and bats in coffin-inspired boxes. Mummy Mozzarella Fries get their own wrapped-up packaging, and the Franken-Candy Sundae piles on crushed Oreos, purple syrup, and popping candy in green and purple, a sugar bomb dressed for the holiday.
Burger King’s Halloween campaign this year was clearly intended to generate social media buzz: it’s full of bright colors, themed packaging, and plenty of photo ops. But it also plays into the nostalgia that Burger King’s been leaning on lately. Fans who remember the old Cini Minis are especially excited to see them back, even if just for a few days.
By the way, Burger King is not alone when it comes to great Halloween freebies. Shake Shack is also offering a buy-one-get-one deal on Double ShackBurgers through October 31 with the code “SPOOKY.”
