Finding a decent tablet for under $50 isn’t something you see every day, especially one with a large Full HD screen. But Kohl’s has a pretty sweet clearance deal on the Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet, dropping its price from $180 to just $45. That’s a massive $135 discount on a tablet that offers a 10.1-inch display, 64GB of storage, and up to 13 hours of battery life.
At this price, the Fire HD 10 makes a lot of sense for anyone who wants an affordable tablet for watching movies, reading, browsing the web, or keeping the kids entertained. It’s also a practical second device for the house, whether you want something for recipes in the kitchen or video calls with family.
Why Choose the Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet?
The Fire HD 10 features a 10.1-inch Full HD display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, giving you plenty of screen space for streaming shows or reading your favorite books. Its sharp display and vibrant colors make it a nice alternative to watching everything on your phone, especially during long trips or relaxing evenings on the couch.
Amazon says this generation is 25% faster than its predecessor, thanks to an octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. You also get 64GB of built-in storage for downloading apps, books, and other content.
Battery life is equally convenient, with up to 13 hours of use on a single charge. And when it’s time to recharge, the included USB-C cable and power adapter make it easy to plug in.
The tablet also has a 5MP front-facing camera for video calls with friends and family. For families, the Fire HD 10 offers parental controls that let you manage what younger users can access. You can also add an optional Amazon Kids+ subscription, which provides access to children’s books, games, videos, and other age-appropriate entertainment.
Since this is an Amazon Fire tablet, it runs Fire OS and works with Amazon’s app ecosystem and Alexa. It’s worth keeping in mind that this particular model is ad-supported, meaning you’ll see sponsored screensavers on the lock screen. However, that trade-off may be easier to accept given the steep discount.
At just $45, the Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet is an appealing option for anyone who needs an inexpensive device for everyday entertainment. With its large Full HD screen, long battery life, and 64GB of storage, Kohl’s 75% discount makes it a particularly affordable way to add another tablet to your household.
