When we tested the redesigned Beats Pill back in 2024, we called it one of the most welcome comebacks in tech. With booming audio, amazingly crisp highs, and rugged IP67 waterproofing, it proved Beats wasn’t just recycling a nostalgic product but that they built a legitimately great portable speaker again.
Now, the brand is serving up an unexpected dose of serious fan service by teaming up with Pokémon for a limited-edition collab.
The Pokémon x Beats Pill essentially gives the pill-shaped speaker a playful, high-voltage makeover. Instead of the standard matte finishes, the grille showcases two fan-favorite pocket monsters – Pikachu in its unmistakable electric yellow, paired with a subtle, grayscale rendering of the spooky, disguise-wearing Mimikyu on the opposite side.

In a fun first for the Pill lineup, Beats is also including collectible charms to personalize your carry. You get tiny attachable accessories featuring a classic Poké Ball, a lightning bolt, and the iconic Beats “b” logo, hanging off a matching removable lanyard.
Underneath the fandom exterior, it packs all the hardware upgrades we loved during testing. You still get up to 24 hours of playback, USB-C lossless audio support, and reverse charging to top up your smartphone on the go. If you want a wider soundstage, the speaker pairs seamlessly with a second Pill in Amplify or Stereo modes.
The Pokémon x Beats Pill launches October 15 for $149.99 at Apple and Target in the US. If you don’t have a Beats Pill already and do have a soft spot for Pikachu, this version is going to be a tough one to resist.
