Crocs is taking its famous clog design somewhere unexpected: your dog’s bed. BARK and Crocs have expanded their popular pet collection with an oversized clog-inspired bed that dogs can actually sleep in, complete with customizable charm-inspired plushes. But the new release goes beyond nap time, adding matching toys, collars, leashes, and other accessories for four-legged fans of the iconic footwear brand. Read on to see how far this playful collaboration is going.
BARK and Crocs take their partnership beyond shoes
BARK, the company behind BarkBox and Super Chewer, is expanding its partnership with Crocs after the first Pet Crocs collection quickly sold out. The new collaboration moves into other parts of a dog’s daily routine, covering everything from playtime and walks to lounging at home.
The biggest addition is the Crocs Snore Mode dog bed, an oversized bed designed to resemble the iconic Crocs Classic Clog. It is also customizable, giving pet owners a way to personalize the bed with Jibbitz™ charm-inspired plushes.
The bed is currently available as an add-to-box option for new and existing BarkBox subscribers, with plans starting at $27 per month. Super Chewer subscribers can also add it to their boxes, with plans starting at $29 per month. The bed is available through bark.co now and is expected to arrive on crocs.com in late October.
Dogs can match their walking gear
The Crocs-inspired look does not stop at the bed. BARK is also bringing the collaboration to walks with a new collection of collars, leashes, and poop bag holders. The accessories come in four colorways and can be paired with Pet Crocs shoes, allowing owners to create a coordinated look for their dogs.
More Crocs-inspired toys join the collection
Playtime is getting its own Crocs makeover as well. The expanded lineup includes a range of toys based on the brand’s Classic Clog design. The collection features a plush take on the recognizable Crocs-and-socks combination, along with shoe-shaped plush toys, rubber balls, and frisbees.
BARK says the collaboration has become more than a novelty
Dave Stangle, VP of Brand at BARK, said the latest expansion reflects how strongly the original Crocs partnership has resonated with customers.
“Crocs consistently wins by committing fully to big swings, then building an identity with consumers around those swings, that’s the exact playbook we run at BARK,” said Dave Stangle, VP of Brand at BARK. “We launched Crocs For Dogs two years ago as basically a one-off, and it’s been selling out ever since. This collection is an evolution of that first product, it’s not a novelty purchase, it’s an identity purchase. We’ve built out the entire Crocs universe for dogs: toys, beds, Jibbitz charms. Dogs deserve it all.”
The expansion essentially turns the original Pet Crocs idea into a broader lifestyle collection for dogs, with products designed around the same recognizable look.
Pet Crocs are still part of the lineup
For dogs that want to stick with the original footwear, Pet Crocs remain available in three flexible sizes: small, medium, and large. But this time, BARK is adding a new Espresso brown color option. The new shade joins the existing Slime green, Marina blue, Orange-zing, Sunflower yellow, and Dragon Fruit pink options.
The shoes are made from stretchy EVA foam and feature an adjustable strap, grippy tread, and ventilation holes. The design is intended to make them suitable for walks across different seasons while giving dogs the unmistakable Crocs look.
