Walmart’s Labor Day sale is serving up a timely deal for anyone planning one last big summer cookout. The Blackstone Original 36-Inch Outdoor Griddle is down from $344 to $297, putting this four-burner backyard cooking station below $300.

With 768 square inches of cooking space and four independently controlled heat zones, there’s plenty of room to keep a Labor Day crowd fed. You can have burgers sizzling on one side while cooking hot dogs, veggies, or even a batch of pancakes on another, all without firing up multiple cooking appliances.

Why Choose This Blackstone Griddle?

Space is one of the Blackstone’s biggest advantages. Its 768-square-inch rolled steel cooking surface gives you room to spread out, which comes in handy when you’re cooking for the family or inviting friends over for a backyard meal.

The flat cooking surface also opens up the possibility of cooking foods that can be tricky to prepare on traditional grill grates. You can cook pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns, smash burgers, vegetables, cheesesteaks, and plenty more without worrying about smaller ingredients falling between the grates.

Underneath that cooking surface are four stainless steel burners producing a combined 38,000 BTUs. You can control each cooking zone independently, meaning you could have burgers sizzling at a higher temperature on one side while vegetables or other foods cook more gently on another.

The griddle also features built-in wind guards that help protect the burners, plus two side shelves for ingredients, plates, and prep work. Hooks and a magnetic toolbar keep spatulas and other griddle tools within easy reach, while a paper towel holder gives you another handy spot for something you’re likely to need while cooking.

Additionally, the rear grease management system is excellent, making cleanup easy and efficient by directing grease and food debris toward the back of the griddle. The included hard cover provides some protection for the cooking surface when the griddle isn’t being used.

And while this model runs on propane out of the box, it’s also compatible with Blackstone’s model 5249 natural gas conversion kit if you want to change your fuel setup later.
