LG is expanding its premium TV lineup with the launch of the new C6 OLED evo AI Smart 4K TV, now available for preorder at Crutchfield. Shipping begins on April 4, with pricing starting at $1,397 for the 42-inch model and rising to $2,697 for the 65-inch model.

The new C6 series builds on LG’s OLED legacy with upgraded brightness, smarter AI features, and enhanced gaming performance. Designed for both home theater enthusiasts and gamers, the TV combines self-lit OLED technology with next-generation processing and connectivity.

OLED evo Display with Enhanced Brightness

At the core of the C6 is LG’s OLED evo panel, which uses self-illuminating pixels to deliver near-infinite contrast and true blacks. Each of the screen’s 8.3 million pixels can turn on or off independently, creating highly detailed images with deep shadow detail.

The addition of Brightness Booster technology helps push the panel further, producing a brighter, more vibrant picture than standard OLED displays. Combined with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, the TV is designed to deliver rich contrast and accurate color across a wide range of content.

Audio and Design

The C6 features a 2.2-channel speaker system with AI-powered virtual surround sound and voice enhancement for clearer dialogue. It also supports Bluetooth audio streaming and can wirelessly pair with compatible LG soundbars.

Like other OLED models, the TV maintains a slim, modern design that can be wall-mounted or placed on a stand. It also comes with LG’s Magic Remote, which supports motion control and voice commands.

LG’s AI-Powered Picture Processing

Like most brands in the TV and display industry, the C6 also comes with an AI-powered processor. LG is introducing its Alpha 11 Gen 3 AI Processor 4K, which enhances picture quality in real time. The processor uses AI to improve sharpness, contrast, and color accuracy, while also reducing noise in lower-quality content.

Features like AI Super Upscaling 4K help convert HD and standard-definition content into near-4K quality, while Dynamic Tone Mapping Ultra adjusts brightness and contrast scene by scene. For movie lovers, Filmmaker Mode ensures content is displayed as intended by directors.

Built for Gaming and High Refresh Rates

The C6 OLED is also designed for gamers, offering a 120Hz native refresh rate. You get support for 4K at 120Hz for consoles and up to 4K at 165Hz for high-performance PCs.

It also includes a range of gaming features, including VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), AMD FreeSync Premium, and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility. All of these technologies are designed to help reduce screen tearing and stutter.

A 0.1ms response time and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) further enhance responsiveness. And LG’s Game Optimizer and built-in Gaming Portal make it easier to adjust settings and access cloud gaming services directly from the TV.

Smart Features and Connectivity

The TV runs LG’s ThinQ AI platform, enabling it to serve as a smart home hub. You can control connected devices, ask questions, and adjust settings using built-in AI.

Streaming is handled through apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+, as well as LG Channels, which offers access to hundreds of free channels. The TV also supports Apple AirPlay 2, HomeKit, and Google Cast, making it easy to stream content from a variety of devices. Connectivity options include four HDMI 2.1 ports, eARC support, USB inputs, and Wi-Fi for fast streaming.

Preorders Open Ahead of April Launch

The LG C6 OLED evo AI Smart 4K TV is now available for preorder, with shipping expected to begin on April 4. With its mix of OLED picture quality, AI-driven enhancements, and strong gaming features, the C6 aims to be a versatile option for both entertainment and gaming setups.
