The Ashton Kutcher-led sitcom was canceled by Netflix after four seasons. When Netflix announced that the fourth season would be its last, Deadline reported that it was always the plan to finish the show with season 4. Kutcher also told TV Insider “Netflix owns the show, so it’s not like there was this big syndication boon that’s going to come if we shoot two more seasons.”
