Date cancelled: November 2018
Starring Charlie Cox as the titular blind lawyer-by-day who fights crime as a masked vigilante by night, Daredevil was canceled by Netflix after three seasons. The cancellation was part of the streaming service’s decision to let go of its entire slate of Marvel programming ahead of the November 2019 launch of its rival streamer Disney+.
Though Netflix’s Marvel TV Universe had ended, it doesn’t necessarily mean that fans have seen the last of Matt Mudrock. Former Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb teased in an open letter to fans in February 2019 that cancelled Marvel shows on Netflix, including Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Punishers might find a new life on other platforms.
