Netflix series that were cancelled in 2020, 2019, and 2018

Has your favorite Netflix series joined the streamer’s list of cancelled shows?

Jessica Jones

Date canceled: February 2019

Netflix canceled the Krysten Ritter-led series in February 2019, making the show’s third season its last. The cancellation was part of the streaming service’s decision to let go of its entire slate of Marvel programming ahead of the November 2019 launch of its rival streamer Disney+. Though Netflix’s Marvel TV Universe had ended, it doesn’t necessarily mean that fans have seen the last of Jessica Jones and her fellow Defenders Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. In an open letter to fans that same month, former Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb teased that the cancelled Marvel shows on Netflix might find a new life on other platforms.
