If there is one thing that K-Pop enthusiasts know for a fact now, it’s that world domination and BTS have become synonymous. Aside from proving that music doesn’t have to be English or cater to a Western audience to become a hit, they are the first boyband to have three albums top the charts in a single year since the Beatles, but you already knew that, right?

When V, Jin, Suga, RM, Jungkook, J-Hope, and Jimin aren’t busy releasing newfangled music or filling up stadiums, they’re out there breaking records or working with UNICEF to end violence and to promote the importance of loving yourself; and that’s why so many people love them. And while their amazing music is a given, this seven-piece is also famous for sharing awe-inspiring words of wisdom. From documentaries and reality shows all the way to UN speeches and thank you speeches, BTS never misses out on imparting words to comfort, rivet, inspire, and catalyze change.

If you’re looking for a boost of encouragement or a symbolic pat on the shoulder, we’ve gathered the most inspirational things that BTS has ever said. Whatever you’re feeling right now, there’s surely something in here that will lift your spirits.

#1 If you’re feeling left behind

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 2
Image From Big Hit Music

“If any of you feel lost in the face of doubt or uncertainty, or the pressure of starting anew, don’t rush. Take a deep breath. You may find that any moment can be turned into an opportunity. Allow yourself to take it easy. Take it one step at a time. You might discover the important things that you were missing, and they will reach out to you.” – Jin at Dear Class of 2020

In June 2020, BTS addressed the graduating class during Youtube’s digital Dear Class of 2020 event. The year 2020 was a crazy time for all of us (even 2021 is still kinda weird). To honor the class of 2020, public figures and celebrities from all over the globe joined forces to make this virtual commencement exercise and afterparty a monumental success. Everyone spoke with such heart and eloquence, that we’re sure there wasn’t a dry eye on the globe. It may not have been the graduation these students dreamed of, but it was one of the greatest.

BTS’ Jin took the time to let us know that it’s okay to take it slow. We’re never really behind or ahead; we’re just going at our own pace, and that’s okay. We’ll make it.

#2 If you don’t know where to go from here

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 3

“If there is anyone out there who cannot see where they should go from here forth, I urge you to listen to your heart. Things may feel a little difficult right now, but somewhere out there luck and opportunity are waiting for you. I believe that… And I look forward to the day you will stand and tell us your own story.” – V at Dear Class Of 2020

The group’s resident visual has a face that would make Greek gods green with envy, and while the fandom and media frequently talk about his ethereal beauty, it’s also important to note that he’s more than just a pretty face. Kim Taehyung, also known by his screen name, V, has a beautiful habit of sharing words that resonate with our souls. His beautiful heart is mirrored by the way he expresses himself, and it feels like a warm hug.

We all have our own story to tell, and even if the road is a bit bumpy now, remember that we can always change the route without changing the destination. Let’s write our own stories.

#3 If you’re struggling with the challenges of isolation

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 4
Image From Big Hit Music

“A fresh start might seem far away, but I wish to tell you: please, don’t be afraid. Don’t worry about yourself. The end and the beginning, and the beginning and the end are connected. There are some things that you can only do in isolation, such as focusing on yourself and breaking your own barriers…One small person can dream the biggest dream, paint the largest picture, and make endless possibilities come true. When we meet again, I look forward to seeing your dream, your picture, and your endless possibilities out in this world. Take your hands off what you can’t control and get your hands on what you can change. As you and I continue on in life, we will find ourselves in so many situations out of our grasp. The only thing we can control is ourselves. Get your hands on the changes that you can make, because your possibilities are limitless. After all, I also had no idea I would become BTS either.” – Suga at Dear Class of 2020

Suga has a knack for writing music and lyrics that pierce past the noise and straight to the heart of the unfiltered truth. This talent clearly reflects in his speeches, and they’re nothing short of magical. Suga may seem like a brooding cool guy, but there’s a lot of profoundness radiating from his soul.

We may be living in a temporary time of masks and physical distancing, but we can still dream, plan, and grow. We shouldn’t give ever give up, even in isolation.

#4 If you’re lost in the dark

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 5
Image From Big Hit Music

“Stars shine brightest when the night is darkest, and the night is always the darkest before the first light of dawn. If the stars are hidden, we’ll let the moonlight guide us. Even if the moon is dark, let our faces be the light that helps us find our way.” – RM at the 75th United Nations General Assembly

BTS has graced United Nations events in 2018 and 2020. During the digital UNGA event in 2020, these seven men once again delivered heartening words of magic. The group’s leader, RM is a master rapper and a thoughtful lyricist. He has a way with words and we think it’s profoundly beautiful.

It’s no secret that the pandemic is foreboding darkness that hovers over the world, but if we can find the light, we can shine through. In case we can’t find the light, we can always be the light.

#5 When you don’t have all the answers

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 6
Image From Big Hit Music

“We don’t know all the answers. I knew where I wanted to go, but not how I could get there. All I did to get here was trust ourselves, do my best, and love what I do.” – J-Hope at the 75th United Nations General Assembly

Spoken lie a true sage. We think that we’ve all been in a situation wherein we know exactly where we want to be, but aren’t quite sure how to get there. We suppose there are many good roads that lead to your dream destination. Whichever one you choose, just remember that you’ll get there. If that road doesn’t lead you there, you can always make a U-turn, a left turn, or a right turn. Just be true to what you love.

#6 If you feel like you’re losing your balance

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 7
Image From Big Hit Music

“In the way that water flows, we’re all doing a good job of maintaining this balance.” – Jungkook, Break the Silence Docuseries

In 2020, BTS released a docuseries that was exclusively available via Weverse. The emotional documentary gave ARMY a closer look at the most phenomenal and unforgettable moments that these record-breakers traversed throughout their latest tours and other endeavors. Having a closer look at the exclusive behind-the-scenes content showed fans the bond the band shares and how much they care about their craft and ARMY. Not that we didn’t already know how passionate these K-Pop stars are, but the raw emotion embedded in Break the Silence, was truly something else.

Like Jungkook said, keep your balance in the same way that water flows. Just keep going.

#7 If you are frustrated by the pandemic

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 8

“I felt hopeless. Everything fell apart. I could only look outside my window. I could only go to my room. Yesterday, I was singing and dancing with fans around the world, and now my world had shrunk to a room. And then, my friends took my hand. We comforted each other and talked about what we could do together,”  –Jimin at the 75th United Nations General Assembly

No matter who or where you are in this world, the pandemic hit us all hard, some perhaps harder than others, but we all felt the impact and we were all struggling to cope. The pain of having to shelf plans until further notice and maintain distance from people for everyone’s safety was no easy feat. Jimin expressed this during the 75th UNGA in 2020, and it was a gentle reminder that we all were shocked by the sudden change, but we can always reach out to our friends to ask for support and to give support. After all, that’s what friendship is all about.

#8 If you are afraid to speak yourself

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 9
Image From UNICEF

“I want to hear your voice. I want to hear your conviction. No matter where you’re from, skin color, gender identity, just speak yourself. Find your name. Find your voice.” –RM at the United Nations Assembly 2018

The first time that BTS was invited to speak at the United Nations General Assembly was in 2018. BTS leader, RM, delivered a riveting speech while flanked by his 6 co-members. From the introduction to the conclusion, we were all ears. Everything he said was spot-on, and standing ovation-worthy. RM’s signature power move is to make people listen once he starts speaking. His presence and well-chosen words convey messages that will invite you and compel you to listen. With the world as their audience, he spread awareness about peace and equality by means of their #LoveMyself campaign. Most importantly, he spoke up about the importance of using your voice. It was legendary.

If RM becomes president one day, we wouldn’t even be surprised.

#9 If you feel sad

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 10
Image From Big Hit Music

“To the world’s prettiest ARMY, good luck in this world, always be strong, don’t be stressed, don’t get hurt and always walk by my side. Didn’t you know? If you share your sadness with me, it will be divided in half and if you share your happiness with me, it will be doubled. If I share my sadness with ARMY, it will disappear and if I share my happiness with ARMY, it will be big enough to cover the entire world. Please always walk by my side. I love you ARMY!” –Jin, message to ARMY on the BTS Fan Cafe on January 1, 2017.

We have discovered that Jin has a superpower, and it’s not his handsome face or witty banter. nope, it’s his ability to wipe sadness away and replace it with a smile. This is poetry, sweet poetry that now lives in our hearts.

South Korean artists often use a “fan cafe”, which is a platform hosted by DAUM, wherein fans can interact with celebrities and read up on all the updates. Pre-Weverse era, this was where ARMY would follow BTS. And we’ve gotta say that this letter to ARMY makes us smile every single time we read it. Thanks, Jin! *Cue his iconic flying kisses*

#10 If you’re working in a team

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 11
Image From Big Hit Music

“We have to respect the fact that we all think differently in order to work as one.” – Suga, Break The Silence Docuseries

BTS never fails to churn out great content. Whether it’s a new song, a new music video, highlight reels, cryptic clues to decipher, TV show appearances, concerts, or reality show episodes, ARMY will never find a dull moment in this fandom. As previously mentioned, BTS launched Break The Silence in 2020, which we happily added to our binge-watch list. The boys poured their hearts out and showed us every angle of the Bangtan life. One of the most striking statements we heard during the docuseries was courtesy of Suga. No two minds are exactly alike and acknowledging that respectfully is the key to working together successfully as a team. Genius.

#11 If you’re looking for the secret to lasting companionship

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 12
Image From Big Hit Music

“The key to companionship is trust. We wouldn’t have come this far if we didn’t trust each other.” – J-Hope, Break The Silence Docuseries

BTS’ secret to success is a concoction with a plethora of ingredients, but they never would have made it this far if they didn’t trust each other. They may have debuted in 2013, but their story as a unit began during their years of training. In a nutshell, BTS is very open about the challenges they have overcome in order to become the well-loved stars they are now. What’s so great about them is that you see them work as a professional team and as a family at the same time.

Whatever you may be working on now and whoever you may be working with, remember that trust can get you a long way. It’s simple yet effective advice that we all need to take to heart. Trust each other, work together, go get your dream!

#12 When you gotta keep your eyes on the prize

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 13
Image From Big Hit Music

“We’re so different in personality and in the smallest ways. Regardless, we’ve been able to stay together for so long without clashing. I realized that it’s possible because we have the same common goal.” –  Jimin, Break The Silence Docuseries

The septet is very open about their little differences, but as Jimin stated during the Break The Silence Docuseries, they were able to stick together for over seven years and counting, because they share a common goal. Park Jimin, everyone, spitting truths.

If you have a goal, never let the little downsides get in the way. Always weigh what matters more. Also, everyone has different personalities. So, if you ever clash with your family, friends, or teammates, just try your best to compromise and collaborate. If we can learn to accept each other for both our highs and lows, then that’s the beginning of true friendship.

#13 If the uphill climb gets tough

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 14
Image From Big HIt Music

“Some people climb mountains alone, while some climb with others. We talk, interact and share memories with each other as we reach the top of the mountain, but I think we are a group who is willing to withstand all the good and the bad in order to climb up the top together.” – V, Break The Silence Docuseries

V’s insightful point of view reminds us that if the climb gets tough, just remember that the view is better from the top. His climb to the top of the music industry was one that stood in the public eye for years now, and we’re glad he (and everyone else in BTS) never gave up until they reached their goals. We’re excited to see them conquer more mountains as their career reaches new heights.

We all have an uphill climb, and every time we choose to take a step forward, we bring ourselves closer to living out our dreams, to adding more milestones to our beautiful lives. the climb isn’t easy, but it’s definitely worth it. Remember that if it’s worth having, it’s worth working for. The climb is tough, but you’re tougher.

#14 If others are pressuring you to live according to their standards

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 15
Image From Big Hit Music

“You should build your own goals and dreams. I think it’s really sad that some people don’t get a chance to build their own dreams because of outside pressure.”  – Jungkook, V live, June 3, 2019

BTS and other K-Pop idols use a streaming platform called V Live to share reality show episodes or go live to interact with fans. On June 3, 2019, Jungkook shared some words of wisdom that spoke to many people. If you have a dream, go after it. Don’t listen to what other people want you to do (unless it’s a good thing, of course), because this is your life, and you get to decide how to live it. As long as you aren’t stepping on anyone in the process, go live your life your way. Go where your soul thrives.

#15 When happiness connects us all

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 16
Image From Big HIt Music

“There are different types of people in this world. And we all do different things. We all speak different languages. We all come from different cultures. But we share one thing — and that’s the feeling of happiness. We’re not all that different when it comes to this emotion. In fact, we’re quite similar in that we all pursue happiness and like the things that make us feel good.” – Jin, Break The Silence Docuseries

There is a reason why Jin has earned the nickname, Worldwide Handsome, and it’s not just because he has a beautiful face. We feel that this nickname suits him because of his beautiful mind as well. We love you for representing diversity and unity all in one, Jin!

Fun fact: that’s Jin jumping to kiss the Earth during the digital Map of the Soul ON:E concert in 2020, because in his solo track, “Moon”, he personifies himself as the moon and ARMY as the Earth, which he revolves around. (Awww…)

#16 If you ever doubt destiny

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 17
Image From Big Hit Music

“As we continue, I can’t think of anything better than this. Rather than doing something on my own, the seven of us doing it together has a more synergistic effort. Could there have been a better match? We might have been destined to meet.” – Suga, Break The Silence Docuseries

If you have ever watched a BTS concert, then you’ll know what it’s like to step into their wonderland of all things passionately magical and heartwarmingly wholesome. If you’ve ever watched a BTS concert, then you know how intricate and flawless their choreography and vocals are. If you’ve ever watched a BTS concert, then you’ll agree that these seven humans were destined to meet and destined to share their precious talent with the world.

Whether you believe in destiny or not, we like to see life as a marriage of the two. A little bit of writing your own story and a little bit of the universe aligning everything perfectly to help us out.

#17 If your times of trial are weighing down on you

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 18
Image From Big Hit Music

“I’ve learned to look back and appreciate my times of trial, as they are also what made me.”

–V, Burn The Stage Documentary

Burn The Stage is a musical documentary that was released in 2018. Directed and produced by Park Jun Soo and Yoon Jiwon, respectively, the film highlighted the behind-the-scenes footage of the boyband during their Wings Tour in 2017, a world tour that was attended by more than half a million fans in 19 different nations. While the live performances and backstage preparation were a huge part of the movie, it was the moments in between and empowering insights like this that truly gave us life while watching it.

V has a treasure trove of deep-rooted sincerity and nuggets of wisdom in his perceptive mind, and it shows through his colorful and optimistic view on life.

#18 If you’re carrying a lot of responsibility on your shoulders

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 19
Image From Weverse Magazine

“This is my job and my calling and I feel a great sense of responsibility. I think I’m lucky and happy that I can solely worry about my creative process. And I feel very responsible to those people who put their trust in me, so I try not to cross any lines, judge myself honestly, and always be professional. Those are the responsibilities that come with the job—the things I have to do and the promises I won’t betray. But if I’m going to do it, I’m going to be happy while I do it. That’s not always going to be possible, but that’s generally how I feel.” – RM, BTS’ BE Comeback Interview For Weverse Magazine

>Weverse is a brilliant platform designed by Big Hit Entertainment (now known as Hybe) for their artists and fans to interact with one another. (Think Facebook, but make it K-Pop.) Before BTS made a blazing comeback with their latest album, BE, they did a cool photoshoot and insightful interview for the magazine arm of the platform. Looking smart and dapper in a black and white ensemble plus a pair of stylish glasses, RM poured his heart out about his perspective on music, art, health, stardom, and who he is as an individual.

We completely agree with RM; you’re going to do it, so it wholeheartedly. Whatever it is you choose to do in life, we hope that it brings you joy. Remember, if you choose to do it, do it happily.

#19 If you’re scared to open up about your feelings

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 20
Image From Big Hit Music

“Unless you open up and share your feelings, no one can understand what you are going through. So I told myself not to hold back like I used to.” V, Burn The Stage Documentary

Sharing your feelings can be a scary thing, because you’ll never know how the other person will react. But isn’t that exactly why we should be open about sharing our feelings? We never know how the other person will react, so that means they could also react in a positive manner.
If you’re feeling hurt, sad, frustrated, or even happy, it isn’t healthy to keep it all inside. When you share your emotions with people who care about you, you might find that they’ll understand and support you through whatever it is that you’re going through. Emotions are felt inside our minds, inside our hearts, and inside our souls, but that doesn’t mean that they are meant to be trapped there. Let them out, let them flow through your words and through your actions. We’re human, and we feel.

#20 If you are living in the past (or future)

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 21
Image From Big Hit Music

“I’m someone who literally lives only in the present, so I tend to forget about the past, and I don’t stress over the future. I know I won’t forget important moments or times I spent with other people, but I’ve forgotten all the bad things that happened in the past and the hard times I had, and I’m really satisfied with my life now and happy to be working hard. How can anyone feel happy over and over again from something that happened in the past, no matter how good it was? You can be happier finding 10,000 won on the ground now than earning 100 times that in the past. I think I’m living true to my feelings by living in the now rather than thinking about the future or the past.”  –Jin, BTS’ BE Comeback Interview For Weverse Magazine

A wise man once said, “It’s okay to visit memory lane, just don’t live there”, and BTS’ Kim Seokjin gave us a more elaborate version of this thought. There’s no day like today, so live in it. Keep the lessons and memories from the past in your back pocket, keep the future in mind, but live in the now. You are here, so be here.

#21 If you need motivation for self-improvement

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 22
Image From Big Hit Music

“The pressure of being perfect is always there, but I want to show them that I am improving. If had a chance to improve every aspect of myself, then I would work hard to make it happen rather than just sitting idly by.”  –Jungkook, Paper Magazine Interview

Perfection isn’t a matter of fact; it’s a matter of opinion. Your idea of perfection will vary from another person’s concept of perfection, and that’s the exact reason why perfection is unattainable. But you know what is attainable? Growth. The more we focus on self-improvement, the more we grow into a more beautiful version of ourselves. You don’t need to change; all you have to do is evolve.

Just take a look at Jungkook; he’s evolved from a cute soulful singer into a matinee idol who belts out high notes, produces music, writes lyrics, and directs music videos. Yes, JK, you know you glow up.

#22 If you’re wondering how you’ll feel once the pandemic is finally over

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 23
Image From Big Hit Music

“At first, I thought I’ll probably cry tears of joy. But would I? I don’t really think so. At first, I really thought I would, but now I think it might feel like going back home. It depends on who you ask, but I don’t think most people would cry just because they came back to their hometown after being away. I think that’s how I’ll feel: like I’m back where I should be.” –Jin, BTS’ BE Comeback Interview For Weverse Magazine

We think this analogy is as beautiful as the first day of spring. However, we, on the other hand, will be bawling our eyes out when the masks come off, when hugs are longer scary anymore, and when the world is safe to traverse again. Once we’re back where we should be, we’ll be literally ugly-crying tears of utter joy. Can’t wait to be home. (Oh, yes. Pun intended.)

BRB, crying. Can’t function right now…

#23 If you feel that language stands in the way of art

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 24
Image From Big Hit Music

“Even if there is a language barrier, once the music starts, people react pretty much the same wherever we go.” –Suga, TIME Magazine Interview, 2018

Suga has a magnificent mind, and we’re pretty sure that everyone’s who’s spoken with him or listened to his music knows that all too well.

In 2018, the seven-piece was interviewed by the magazine in between their tour dates. During the fun interaction, Suga shared this thoughtful statement that spelled out just why they’re so successful. And we totally agree that language isn’t a barrier, it’s a connecting point. Whatever language you speak, don’t be afraid to speak up while using it. It’s rude to keep your talent to yourself, you know!

In 2020, BTS was featured by the publication once again when they were hailed as TIME Magazine’s Entertainer Of The Year.

#24 If someone asks you why you eat too much

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 25
Image From Big Hit Music

“I’m pig. Oink, oink.” –Jin, Radio Disney Interview, 2019

During one of their Radio Disney interviews in 2019, BTS once again unleashed their playful and chaotic side. When asked who among the members eats the most, the unanimous decision was crystal clear: Jin is the biggest foodie!

When RM asked him why he eats so much, he playfully clapped back by saying that he’s a pig. You heard it, people! If anyone tries to shame you into eating less, just quote Jin. Eat all you want just like Jin does…as long as you go to the gym on a regular basis just like Jin does!

Also, did you know that this man can cook? Like really cook. Whether it’s during Run BTS, Gayo, American Hustle Life, Bon Voyage, BTS In The Soop, or Let’s Have Dinner Together, you’ll rarely see this guy without a whisk and bowl in his hands (or a fishing rod, but that’s a story for another day). A genius on stage and a genius in the kitchen. What’s next, Jin?

#25 If you just discovered who your fake friends are

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 26
Image From Big Hit Music

“I also saw some people for who they really are, some people who don’t really care about me. Rather than pushing those people away, I learned how to react less emotionally to them. Likewise, I was able to be more emotionally honest with people who are very considerate toward me.” –Jimin, BTS’ BE Comeback Interview For Weverse Magazine

One of our superpowers lies in the fact that we have control over how we react to things. During his BE album comeback interview with Weverse Magazine, Jimin got candid about the things he discovered during the pandemic. If someone shows you their true color, don’t try to repaint them. That isn’t your call. People change when they want to change, and no matter how much they mean to you, if they show you otherwise, you have to learn to be the master of your emotions; not the other way around. If they don’t care, then why waste energy over them? Your peace of mind matters more. (We know, it’s easier said than done, but #ChallengeAccepted?

#26 When you know that you’ve found your calling

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 27
Image From Big Hit Music

“That feeling [of being on stage] is really the best thrill I probably get in life. Even if I leave one day, I think I’ll be back for this,” –Jin, Wall Street Journal Interview, 2020

BTS cancelled a world tour and a bunch of other events last year when the pandemic started. With most of their interviews being virtual, their photoshoot with WSJ was one of their rare in-person interviews in 2020. Featuring the members in disarmingly dapper black suits, WSJ captured the boys in their most casual, chaotic, and thoughtful selves. From their beginnings as a band, music writing process, hometowns, families, and fandom, all the way to the dreams they still want to achieve, BTS gave ARMY another glimpse into their points of view. Jin, for instance, expressed excitement for his line of work.

Finding your calling is kind of like finding your soulmate; you just know that it’s right. We’re pretty sure that there are many ways to find your soulmate and your calling, but once you’ve got them in your life, they’ll add value to your life, and it will all make sense.

#27 When you’re surrounded by love

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 28
Image From Big Hit Music

“It’s amazing to be loved by even one person. Even just one, single love is beautiful, but we’re getting love from all over the world. And I know this isn’t something to take for granted. I’m so incredibly thankful that sometimes I feel overwhelmed just thinking, ‘Wow, how can I ever return this much love?’ I want to express that in any way possible, every moment I can, because I’m so honored to be so loved that I can’t begin to put it into words.” –J-Hope, BTS’ BE Comeback Interview For Weverse Magazine

J-Hope is known as the sunshine of BTS. He’s always energetic, upbeat, and ALWAYS SMILING. Seeing J-Hope’s sunny smile is a true mood booster.
Oh, how beautiful it is to love and be loved. And in the wise words of J-Hope, it’s amazing to be sincerely loved by even one person. His opinion on being loved by so many fans is something that can really make you smile. Maybe that’s why he’s our hope, we’re his hope, he’s J-Hope. (We look forward to hearing him say this at live concerts again soooooooon!)

#28 When you want to express your infinitely growing love for someone

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 29
Image From Big Hit Music

“Je t’aime plus qu’hier moins que demain”. (“I love you more than yesterday, but less than tomorrow”.–V, Bring The Soul Documentary

V’s style is the epitome of fashion-forward Korean finesse, but it also exudes strong notes of romantic Parisian flair. Often seen wearing berets, Gingham patterns, British paperboy mod, and anything Gucci, he’s definitely a style icon of the 21st century. Quoting the famous French poet and playwright, Rosemonde Gérard, during the Paris stop of their Love Yourself Tour from 2018 to 2019, the charmer shared just how much he truly cares about his fans.

V’s penchant for soul-stirring words makes us love him more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.

The excerpt came from “L’éternelle chanson” or “The Eternal Song”, which the talented poet wrote for her husband, Edmond Rostand. The most famous snippet of the masterpiece goes like this:

Car, vois-tu, chaque jour je t’aime davantage,

Aujourd’hui plus qu’hier et bien moins que demain.

(For, you see, each day I love you more,

Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.)

#29 If you feel boxed in by society’s boundaries

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 30
Image From Big hit Music

“One thing was very clear, and it’s even clearer thanks to you guys, and thanks to Variety, is that music has truly the power to overcome various kinds of barriers including languages, nationalities, and many boundaries.” –RM, Acceptance Speech at Variety’s Award Show

Racism and discrimination have been spreading like a sinister virus in our world since the beginning of time; but just because it’s been around forever, doesn’t make it okay. In fact, it’s a virus that we have yet to eradicate, and the only cure is basic common sense. Too bad you can’t turn that into a vaccine.

What we love so much about RM is that he stands for equality. We mean, just look at him and the rest of BTS, for instance; they’re the biggest superstars on the planet with countless hits and millions of followers, but they don’t discriminate against anyone. Instead of making others feel inferior, they chose to use their influence for good and take action against violence, hatred, and racism. Now, that’s what we call a flex.

#30 If you’re dealing with change

The most inspirational things BTS ever said 31
Image From Big Hit Music

“It’s good to know that it’s fine when things go in an unintended direction because you can always start over again. Keep calm, take the next-best option and move forward.” –Suga, TIME Magazine Interview 2020

Yeah, what Suga said!

You know what they say about your comfort zone: it’s comfy, but not much grows there. So, if you are met with change, depending on what it is, you need to handle it head-on. Not all changes are negative elements; some should be welcomed with arms wide open because they are leading you to new roads. Growth truly begins at the end of your comfort zone. Just keep moving forward.

#31 If you want to be famous like BTS

“I was fortunate to have good people around me. I advise you to meet good people.” –Jin, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon 2020

Jimmy Fallon is indisputably one of the biggest BTS enthusiasts (shoutout to James Corden who loves them just as much!). In turn, the BTS members are also the biggest Jimmy Fallon enthusiasts. When you bring this brilliant talk show host together with this chaotic band of brothers, you have the perfect recipe for one big happy quirk fest!

When the legendary funnyman asked the BTS members about their advice to people who are dreaming of pursuing a successful career in music, Jin chimed in with this very realistic piece of advice. We all need good people in our lives.

#32 If you feel like running away from reality

Magic Shop is a song containing the story that when you’re tired and want to run away from reality, if you open the door inside your heart, there is a magic shop, and inside, there are seven of us who will comfort fans.”  –Jungkook, Fake Love Press Conference

Jeon Jungkook may be the maknae (Korean for youngest) of the bunch, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t catch up to his big brothers in terms of wisdom. His heartfelt explanation of the song, Magic Shop, is sweet enough to tug at our heartstrings.

If you have ever felt like escaping from reality, you may have wanted to run away to Narnia, Neverland, Wonderland, or Hogwarts. When BTS released their enchanting pop ballad, Magic Shop, the band shined the spotlight on the sanctuary we all have inside our hearts. There’s a magical door that leads to a safe place in our hearts that will heal us. We just have to believe.

#33 If you want to understand your shadow

“It’s important to really see your shadow and see where it is. Your shadow’s always going to be attached to you, it’s always going to be at your feet and it’s always going to follow you. So it’s a matter of accepting it or not … It’s not about facing your shadow or fighting your shadow, but just acknowledging the fact you have your shadow. And that really brings us comfort and peace. Sometimes the shadow grows — sometimes it shortens and lengthens — but it’s always going to be attached to you. So acknowledging its presence and accepting it takes a lot of courage. So I think that is what allows us to keep going.” –Suga, BTS Global Press Conference for Map of the Soul: 7, February 2020

When asked to delve into the details of his track, “Interlude: Shadow”, from Map of the Soul: 7, Mr. Min Yoongi delivered a musing that launched many of us into a ruminative introspection. We’ll always have our shadows, and we should be thankful for them, because they remind us where the sun shines.

#34 If you’ve fallen down

“Even if it turns out you didn’t do too well on the exam, there’s no need to feel so defeated. It may feel like your world is collapsing — when you don’t get the results you want — but that’s not true. That’s not how our lives work. What’s important is that you get back up.” –Suga, V Live, December 2019

When Suga goes live, you can already expect it to rain little nuggets of wisdom. The abovementioned piece of advice is something to wear on your sleeve and to live by.

We’re all flying, running, walking, or crawling towards our goals in life, but sometimes, we fall down. Whether it’s a flunked exam, a failed audition, or any rejection or misstep of any kind, it only matters that we get up and try again.

“If I give up here, then I am not the star of my life.” –V, 75th United Nations General Assembly 2020

This struck a chord in the harps of our hearts. We have one question for all you people with a dream, for all you people working towards a goal, for all you people who want to live beautifully: Are you the main character of your life, are you a supporting character, or are you the antagonist?

Don’t give up, friends 🙂 Only great things are on the way. We believe that.
