Disney Princesses reimagined as celebs and influencers

Though Disney Princesses don’t have social media accounts and millions of online followers like most movie and music personalities do today, these fictional royalties are essentially celebrities in their own right. For one, children around the world not only know who they are, but also look up to them as role models growing up. Their films are also certified blockbusters and their merchandise are always flying off the shelves. But have you ever wondered what your favorite Disney Princesses would look like if they were real celebrities in today’s world of Internet and social media? Well, wonder no more, because Argentine artist Dave Salamanca Rojas have reimagined them as real-life actresses, singers, and reality stars as seen in films, music videos, and in the covers of magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, and the like. We’ve put together some of Rojas’ most impressive works in the slideshow above, which also includes a creation by the equally talented Mexican illustrator Jose Rodolfo Loaiza Ontiveros. In addition to Disney Princesses, some of the fan art featured in the gallery also depict Disney Princes, Disney Villains, and other characters popularized by the Mickey Mouse company. #1 Snow White as Britney Spears This adorable fan art turns Snow White into Britney Spears as seen in the music video of her 2008 song Womanizer. Just like Britney in the upbeat music video, the Fairest One of All is rocking a long-sleeved diagonal striped top, black skirt, and a broad metallic silver belt. The Seven Dwarfs, meanwhile, are reimagined as Britney’s male officemates that serve as her backup dancers. #2 Jessie as Katie Perry and Bo Peep as Taylor Swift Toy Story characters Jessie and Bo Peep sport a matching burger and French fries costumes in this playful artwork that recreates one of the fun scenes between Katie Perry and Taylor Swift in the music video for the 2019 song You Need to Calm Down. #3 Disney characters as members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan This fabulous piece of art recreates the cover of The Hollywood Reporter’s August 16, 2017 issue with Disney characters standing in for the influential women of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. Khloe Kardashian is reimagined as Rapunzel, Kendall Jenner as Mulan, Kourtney Kardashian as Ariel, Snow White as Kylie Jenner, Jasmine as Kim Kardashian, and Cruella de Vil as the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch, Kris Jenner. #4 Jasmine as Britney Spears Jasmine looks extra seductive in this fan art inspired by Britney Spears’ music video for her 2007 electro-pop song Gimme More. Wearing a black leather cropped top and a matching booty shorts with fishnet stockings, the Princess of Agrabah unleashes her inner Britney Spears as she alluringly dances around a pole. #5 Megara as Britney Spears Megara shows off her sexy curves in a skin-tight leather suit similar to one of Britney Spears’ provocative outfits in the music video for her 2003 song Toxic. Spears dons a red wig for some of the scenes in the music video — something that the red-haired Megara effortlessly captures in this fiery fan art. #6 Jasmine as Naomi Scott This fan art is a cartoon version of the cover of AnOther magazine featuring Naomi Scott. Scott plays Jasmine in Disney’s latest live-action movie Aladdin, but for this artwork, it’s the Princess of Agrabah who poses as the English actress. #7 Anna as Britney Spears and Elsa Madonna as Madonna Inspired by the music video for the 2003 song Me Against the Music, this piece of art reimaigines Anna as Britney Spears and Elsa as Madonna. Dressed in suit jackets similar to those worn by the pop icons in the music video, the sisters from the Kingdom of Arendelle emote in front of the camera as they show off their flair in singing and dancing. #8 Aurora as Christina Aguilera Aurora looks relaxed and easy in her matching plaid suit jacket and pants in this fan art inspired by Christina Aguilera’s music video for her 2018 song Accelerate. Showing more body skin than the usual, Cinderella also traded her signature glass shoes with a pair of comfy sneakers. #9 Ariel as Dua Lipa and Prince Eric as Calvin Harris This tropical-themed artwork recreates a shot from Dua Lipa and Calvin Harris’ music video for their 2018 collaborative track One Kiss. Rocking a chin-length hairstyle and a pair of cat-eye shades, Ariel looks chic and smart in a purple suit jacket similar to the one Lipa is wearing in the music video. Prince Eric, meanwhile, easily captures Harris’ dashing look with his firm posture and confident façade. #10 Esmeralda as a fashion influencer This fan art shows Esmeralda casually posing in front of the camera for her OOTD entry. With a quaint Parisian street as her background, Esmeralda models her flashy violet pants that she pairs with a teal shirt topped with a white sweater and a charcoal overcoat. Completing her street-smart look is a black handbag and a pair of black knee-high boots. #11 Mulan as Nicki Minaj Mulan is literally glowing in her LED-lit qipao inspired from one of the outfits worn by Nicki Minaj in the music video for her 2018 hip hop song Chun-Li. Rocking the Street Fighter character’s iconic “ox horn” hair style, Mulan tries to emulate Minaj’s seductive look in the music video by making her lips appear poutier than the usual. #12 Aurora as Britney Spears This fan art featuring Aurora as Britney Spears recreates a shot from the pop star’s 2001 music video for her hit song Overprotected. Wearing a melon orange monochromatic dress, Aurora tries to break free from two colliding walls that serve as metaphor for all the people trying to dictate her identity. #13 Snow White as Dua Lipa Snow White captures Dua Lipa’s fierceness in this piece of digital art that reimagines the cover of the May 2019 issue of British GQ magazine. Though Snow White essentially copies everything about Lipa’s look in the magazine cover, the Fairest One of All doesn’t let go of her signature red headband that adds a touch of sweetness to her appearance. #14 Disney characters as 1, 2, 3 singers Disney royalties Cinderella, Prince Eric, and Prince Naveen come together in this glitzy fan art that recreates the cover art for the song 1, 2, 3 by the Mexican songstress Sofia Reyes featuring American singers Jason Derulo and De La Ghetto. Dressed in a yellow puffer jacket, Cinderella imitates Sofia, while Prince Eric and Prince Naveen impersonate the equally fashionable De La Ghetto and Derulo, respectively. #15 Belle as Emma Watson Belle nails Emma Watson’s shaggy look in this artwork that recreates the cover of Vogue Australia’s March 2018 issue. Wearing a stylish black ruffle-sleeve top, Belle gives her sweetest smile to the camera in an attempt to mirror Watson’s charming personality in real life. #16 Disney characters as The Assassination of Gianni Versace American Crime Story stars This colorful fan art recreates the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s June 30, 2017 issue that features the stars of The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. Tarzan’s arch-nemesis Clayton is reimagined as Edgar Ramirez’s Gianni Versace, Hercules as Ricky Martin’s Antonio D’Amico, Cinderella as Penelope Cruz’s Donatella, and Prince Eric as Darren Criss’ Andre Cunanan. #17 Jasmine as Cardi B, Aladdin as J Balvin, and Genie as Bad Bunny The main characters of Disney’s animated film Aladdin are reunited in this piece of digital art inspired by the music video for the 2018 Latin trap song I Like It. Dressed in Cardi B’s deep purple two-piece outfit, Jasmine mimics the rapper’s favorite tongue-out expression as she rests her arms on Aladdin and Genie’s shoulders. The Prince of Agrabah is reimagined as the heavily tatted Colombian Reggaeton singer J Balvin, while Genie is reimagined as the Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. #18 Belle as Dua Lipa with other Disney Princesses Featuring nine Disney Princesses, this artwork recreates one of the cutest shots in the music video for Dua Lipa’s 2017 song New Rules. Wearing pastel-colored bathrobes, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Mulan, Ariel, Tiana, Aurora, Jasmine, Snow White, and Belle adorably hug each other from the back, forming a straight line. Based on their placement in the music video, Belle is supposed to be Lipa. #19 The Evil Queen as a Madonna fan This heavily tattooed version of the Evil Queen from the film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a huge Madonna fan. Though the Disney villain is still wearing her signature black balaclava, high white collar, and gold crown, the Evil Queen trades her purple dress and dark robe with a sleeveless shirt featuring an eccentric image of Madonna from her Girl’s Gone Wild music video. #20 Megara as a fashion influencer Megara gives her online followers a complete look at her simple yet sophisticated outfit of the day. With a scenic Grecian street as her background, Megara gracefully displays her pale violet red sleeveless jumpsuit, which she pairs with ankle-strap shoes and a handbag of the same color. #21 Hercules as a fashion influencer Hercules looks super comfy in his matching blue shirt and shorts made from breathable fabric. To add some character to his outfit, Hercules puts on an orangey scarf around his neck, which matches the sunny weather in Athens, Greece. #22 Aurora as Elle Fanning and Maleficent as Angelina Jolie This collage shows behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and their corresponding cartoon versions. First posted on Instagram back in May 2018, the original photos feature co-stars Elle Fanning and Angelina Jolie goofing around the set while waiting for their take. Both actresses sport a pair of cool sunglasses in the pictures, but what really makes the snapshots special is the strange view of Maleficent in a bathrobe. #23 Ariel as an aspiring rock star Ariel is trying to make a name for herself by uploading videos of her song performances online, and this fan art is basically a tease of what her followers can expect from her next. With a studded jacket as her outfit and a star-shaped guitar as her choice of instrument, there’s no question that the Princess of Atlantica is planning to give her fans some good old rock “n” roll. #24 Maleficent as Angelina Jolie and Aurora as Elle Fanning This fan art recreates a photo of Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning from the D23 Expo 2019, where they made a surprise appearance to promote their film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Dressed in Jolie’s black dress with sheer sleeves, Maleficent looks simple and elegant. Aurora, meanwhile, charms the crowd in Fanning’s multi-tiered dress with huge pink ribbon on the front. #25 Maleficent as Angelina Jolie This artwork features Maleficent copying Angelina Jolie’s alluring facial expression in the cover of the September 2017 Style Issue of Vanity Fair. Though the Guardian of the Moors achieves the Oscar-winning actress’ sultry look, the former’s yellow eyes and black horns still give her overall appearance a trace of wickedness. #26 Disney Princesses as Mickey Mouse Celebrating Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary, this fan art reimagines five Disney Princesses as different versions of Mickey through the years. Snow White is reimagined as Steamboat Willie Mickey, Aurora as Fantasia Mickey, and Ariel as the most popular incarnation of Mickey today.
