Helen McCrory (died April 16th, aged 52)
Helen McCrory, best known for her role as Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, died of cancer at her home in London on April 16th at age 52.
McCrory’s husband, the Billions actor Damian Lewis, announced her passing on Twitter. “After a heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and mighty woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family,” read Lewis’ statement. “She died as she lived. Fearlessly. God we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.”
McCrory’s other notable acting roles include Cherie Blair in 2006’s biopic The Queen, Clair Dowar in the 2012 James Bond film Skyfall, and Polly Gray on the BBC period crime drama series Peaky Blinders, which has yet to return for the sixth and final season.
