Whenever Disney announces a live-action adaptation of one of its animated classics, fans always take to social media to share who they think should star in the movie. Some of them even launch online campaigns in hopes that Disney would cast their favorite actors and actresses in the film. While Disney greatly appreciates those kinds of initiatives from fans, the decision on the movie’s final cast still lies with the director and producers of the film.

For instance, Victorious star Avan Jogia was the fans’ ultimate choice for the live-action role of Aladdin, with people literally tweeting about him being the real-life version of Prince Ali for years. Jogia reportedly auditioned for the much-coveted role. But because director Guy Ritchie and producers Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich of the 2019 live-action adaptation of Aladdin were reportedly looking for an actor of Middle-Eastern descent, Mena Massoud, who was born to Egyptian parents, ultimately scored the role.

Since Disney is expected to cast characters as culturally associative as possible for its future live-action productions, fans now have a very slim chance to see their much-admired celebrities portray their favorite Disney characters on the big screen. That, however, should not be a problem, as talented digital artists like Elena Morgun and Crystal Ro have already reimagined a number of popular Hollywood stars as Disney Princesses and Princes, helping their fellow fans picture how their favorite actors would look like if they were Disney royalty.

Browse through the slideshow below to see some of Morgun and Ro’s amazing works.

#1 Rachel McAdams as Cinderella

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 56

Rachel McAdams is a glamorous modern-day Cinderella in this piece of fan art. Wearing a sparkling blue gown by Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad, the Oscar-nominated The Notebook actress holds a Jimmy Choo shoe that stands in for iconic glass slipper that the original Cinderella wore to the ball.

#2 Sophie Turner as Ariel

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 57

After Sophie Turner’s remarkable turn as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones and Jean Grey on X-Men: Dark Phoenix, could Ariel from The Little Mermaid her next big role? Red hair looks awesome on the British actress, and since she can also carry a tune, we think that she would make a great live-action version of the Princess of Atlantica.

#3 Camila Cabello as Jasmine

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 58

Though Camilla Cabello is a Latina and not an Arab woman like Jasmine, the singer-songwriter still share some semblance with the Princess of Agrabah. But since Cabello doesn’t have any acting experience, we’re not certain whether she could actually provide the emotional depth that the role requires.

#4 Margot Robbie as Elsa

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 59

Margot Robbie looks dazzling as the Queen of Arendelle. While not evident in this fan art, Elsa actually has some light freckles on her face — a facial feature that the Harley Quinn actress also has in real life.

#5 Cara Delevingne as Anna

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 60

Like Anna from the animated film Frozen, Cara Delevingne also has light freckles on her face, making her an easy candidate for the role in a potential live-action adaptation of the 2013 movie. Though Delevingne is seemingly not as carefree as Elsa’s younger sister in real life, the English native has proven herself to be an impressive actress, so playing a free-spirited character should be a walk in the park for her.

#6 Emilia Clarke as Belle

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 61

This dreamy reimagining of Belle from Beauty and the Beast features the British actress Emilia Clarke. And in a fun nod to Clarke’s most recent TV project, this artwork shows the bookish Disney Princess reading George R.R. Martin’s novel Game of Thrones.

#7 Ariana Grande as Vanellope

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 62

Though Ariana Grande is a lot older than Vanellope from the Wreck-It-Ralph animated film series, the singer-actress would still make a great live-action version of the character because she’s got the sassiness and spunk that the role requires.

#8 Blake Lively as Aurora

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 63

Blake Lively looks like the real deal in this reimagining of Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora. If the actress ends up getting cast as the live-action version of the Disney Princess, it would be very nice if her real-life husband Ryan Reynolds would be the one to play her love interest Prince Philip.

#9 Rihanna as Tiana

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 64

The physical similarities between Rihanna and Tiana from the 2009 animated film The Princess and the Frog are undeniable. While not all are privy to Rihanna’s cooking skills, the singer actually knows her ways in the kitchen just like Tiana. In fact, as her avid fans know, the Diamonds singer likes to share some of her kitchen adventures on social media from time to time.

#10 Emma Stone as Merida

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 65

Though not as skillful as Merida when it comes to archery, Emma Stone knows a thing or two about bow and arrow. The Oscar-winning actress actually wielded the said set of weapons for her part in Netflix’s comedy-drama series Maniac. So if ever she’ll end up playing a live-action Merida in the future, she probably won’t need any archery lessons anymore.

#11 Lucy Liu as Mulan

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 66

As seen in this mesmerizing piece of art, Lucy Liu, with all her Chinese facial features, looks perfect as Mulan. Unlike Mulan, Liu didn’t enlist in the military. But with her vast experience in doing action films, there’s no doubt that the actress can pull off any fight scenes in a potential live-action adaptation of the 1998 animated film Mulan.

#12 Leigh-Anne Pinnock as Pocahontas

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 67

Though Leigh-Anne Pinnock is of Barbadian and Jamaican ancestry and doesn’t have Native American roots, the Little Mix member still shares a number of physical attributes with Pocahontas: statuesque look, tanned skin, and full lips. It’s unclear, though, whether the English singer cares for the environment as much as Pocahontas does.

#13 Billie Eilish as Kida Nedakh

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 68

Billie Eilish’s swaggy personality makes her a great contender to play the equally proud Kida in a potential live-action adaptation of Atlantis: The Lost Empire. But since the Ocean Eyes hitmaker has zero experience in acting, we’re not sure if her acting chops can carry a big-budget film from Disney.

#14 Naomi Scott as Jasmine

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 69

Naomi Scott plays the most-coveted role of Jasmine in this year’s live-action adaptation of Aladdin. While some fans questioned Scott’s casting, the praises she received for her performance in the movie proved that director Guy Ritchie made the right decision to cast her.

#15 Mena Massoud as Aladdin

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 70

Mena Massoud portrays the titular role in the latest live-action Aladdin movie. Though Massoud has been in the show business since 2011, a lot of people just heard his name when it was announced that he’d be playing Aladdin. Despite being the least popular among the film’s three main stars, Massoud still managed to make his mark in the movie.

#16 Mila Kunis as Esmeralda

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 71

Though Mila Kunis is of Russian descent and not a Romani like Esmeralda, this lovely fan art shows that the actress would still look good as a live-action Esmeralda. Kunis played a ballerina in the 2010 film Black Swan, so portraying a street performer like Esmeralda in a potential live-action adaptation of the The Hunchback of Notre Dame shouldn’t be hard for her.

#17 Amber Heard as Alice

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 72

Amber Heard is already in her early 30s, but this uncanny reimagining of Alice from the 1951 Disney animated film Alice in Wonderland suggests that the Aquamam actress still has what it takes to play the young character.

#18 Megan Fox as Megara

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 73

With lots of diverse roles under Megan Fox’s belt, playing the snarky, sassy, and sometimes flirty Megara from the 1997 feature film Hercules should not be that difficult for the actress. And since she does have some semblance with the fictional character, it would be surprising if Disney would not consider her for a live-action version of the role.

#19 Elizabeth Olsen as Jane

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 74

This gorgeous fan art shows that Elizabeth Olsen really looks a lot like Jane Foster from 1999 animated film Tarzan. Since Olsen has English ancestry and Jane is British, casting the actress as Tarzan’s love interest in a potential live-action adaptation of the classic movie would be perfect.

#20 Emma Stone as Cruella de Ville

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 75

Emma Stone is set to play Cruella de Ville in a live-action prequel film following a young version of the iconic villain. The movie is set to be released on December 23rd, 2020, and while it would take a little while before we could have a first look at Stone as Cruella, this classy artwork assures us that Disney made the right decision to cast her for the part.

#21 Melissa McCarthy as the Queen of Hearts

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 76

Melissa McCarthy looks extra pretty as the Queen of Hearts. The Queen of Hearts is the mad ruler of Wonderland, but in this particular reimagining of the Alice in Wonderland villain, the character looks like she’s one of the giddy good guys. Could this be due to the fact that McCarthy is best known for her comedic chops?

#22 Amanda Seyfried as Rapunzel

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 77

Though Amanda Seyfried doesn’t have a 70-feet long hair like Rapunzel, the actress and the Princess of Corona both have green eyes and share a love for animals. Rapunzel has a pet chameleon named Pascal, while the Mamma Mia! actress has an adopted dog named Finn.

#23 Lily Collins as Snow White

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 78

Lily Collins is The Fairest One of All in this reimagining of Snow White. Daughter of English musician Phil Collins, the actress has actually played the character in the non-Disney-produced live-action movie Mirror Mirror back in 2012.

#24 Selena Gomez as Moana

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 79

Back in 2008, Selena Gomez played the titular character in the non-Disney-produced film Another Cinderella Story. Apparently, Cinderella isn’t the only fairy tale princess Gomez can bring to life. As seen in this beautiful fan art, the Spring Breakers actress would also look great as a live-action Moana.

#25 Zendaya as Lilo

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 80

Though not a native of Kauia island, Zendaya has a skin color similar to Lilo’s. The singer-actress also have older sisters, so she can probably relate to Lilo’s relationship with her older sister Nani in the Lilo and & Stitch franchise. Having starred in Disney Channel series Shake It Up and K.C. Undercover, Zendaya definitely knows the ins and outs of working for Disney, so casting her as Lilo for a live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch would likely turn out smooth.

#26 Taylor Swift as Tinker Bell

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 81

Like Tinker Bell, Taylor Swift has striking blue eyes, making her a great choice, appearance-wise, to play the fairy from the Peter Pan franchise. Though the singer-songwriter has very limited film and TV acting credits, her many music videos show that she can be sassy and feisty at the same time, just like Tinker Bell in most of her Disney appearances.

#27 Emma Stone as Jessie

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 82

Though a natural blonde, Emma Stone is best known for her red hair, and this probably explains why this fan art of her as Jessie from the Toy Story franchise looks on point. The actress also happens to have green eyes like the pull-string cowgirl toy, making her an even more fantastic choice for a potential live-action version of the character.

#28 Ariana Grande as Megara

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 83

It isn’t hard to see that Ariana Grande bears some resemblance to Megara from Disney’s Hercules. For one, the singer-actress and the animated character both have prominent jawlines. And just like the former minion of Hades, Grande also wears her hair in a ponytail most of the times. Though not snarky, Grande can be very sassy, which is also one of the defining characteristics of Megara.

#29 Mia Wasikowska as Alice

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 84

This fan art is a nod to Mia Wasikowska who played the titular character in Tim Burton’s dark fantasy film Alice in Wonderland. Wasikowska’s Alice is a strong-willed and empowered heroine who chooses her own path. Critics praised her stubborn, brave, and non-girlie version of the character, describing it as a role model for girls. For this illustration, however, artist Helen Morgun made Wasikowska’s Alice look more defiant by painting her nails black and by putting badass tattoos on both her arms.

#30 Elle Fanning as Aurora

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 85

Elle Fanning first appeared as Aurora in the 2014 film Maleficent and reprised the role in the 2019’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. In the movie series, Fanning’s Aurora is kind, gentle, and sweet, but for this fan art, artist Helen Morgun reimagined her as a cunning princess who seems to have a lot of tricks up her sleeve.

#31 Lily Collins as Snow White – Version 2

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 86

This is Helen Morgun’s second fan art featuring Lily Collins as Snow White. While the first one is closer to the actress’ warm-hearted character in 2012’s Mirror Mirror, this second version features a fiercer and darker Snow White. Staring intensely at the Magic Mirror, this reimagining of Collins’ Snow White looks like someone who has just vowed revenge against everyone who harmed her.

#32 Halle Bailey as Ariel

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 87

Halle Bailey is set to play Ariel in Disney’s live-action adaptation of the 1989 animated classic, The Little Mermaid. While Disney has yet to release a photo of Bailey as the Princess of Atlantica, this fan art by Helen Morgun gives fans an idea of what the singer-actress would look like as the popular mermaid. Though a lot of people accused Disney of blackwashing after casting Bailey as Ariel, the actress said that the role is “bigger” and “greater” than her, assuring fans that the movie is going to be “beautiful.”

#33 Millie Bobby Brown as Belle

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 88

This fan art of Millie Bobby Brown as Belle from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is giving us some serious Stranger Things vibes. Dressed in her iconic golden ball gown, Belle appears to channel Brown’s Stranger Things character, Eleven, and use her telekinetic abilities to break the curse on Beast. Though the act caused Belle’s nose to bleed and the bell jar covering the Enchanted Rose fall to pieces, it’s yet to be seen if Beast has returned to his human form.

#34 Megan Fox as Vanessa

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 89

It was rumored that Megan Fox would play Vanessa in the upcoming The Little Mermaid live-action movie. Whether or not that turns out to be true, this fan art shows what the actress would look like if she was cast as the sly human persona that Ursula transformed into to prevent Ariel from earning Prince Eric’s affection. Fox has played cunning and deceitful roles before ― like Jennifer Check from 2009’s Jennifer’s Body ― so playing Vanessa would likely be a walk in the park for her.

#35 Emma Watson as Anna

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 90

Though Emma Watson has already brought Belle to life in 2017’s Beauty and the Beast, this amazing fan art makes it clear that Disney should still consider the actress for the role of Anna should it decide to make a live-action adaptation of the Frozen franchise. Though not shown in this fan art, Anna has a light dusting of freckles on her nose and below her eyes ― a striking feature that Watson also possesses.

#36 Halle Bailey as Ariel – Version 2

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 91

Featuring a “bad girl” version of Halle Bailey’s Ariel, this fan art shows the Princess of Atlantica wearing a more enticing seashell top complete with multiple spike ear piercings. This reimagining of Ariel also appears to be adept at black magic, as she’s holding a pin and a voodoo doll bearing Ursula’s likeness.

#37 Alyssa Milano as Ariel

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 92

Alyssa Milano, who played Phoebe Halliwell in the original Charmed TV series, was memorably turned into a mermaid in the first two episodes of the show’s season 5. That TV moment appears to be the inspiration for this artwork, which reimagines Milano as Disney’s resident mermaid, Ariel. Dressed in the Princess of Atlantica’s iconic pink ball gown, Milano’s Ariel playfully fixes her hair with a fork as a comb.

#38 Scarlett Johansson as Anastasia

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 93

Scarlett Johansson is best known for playing Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And just like Anastasia in her eponymous 1997 film, Romanoff is also from Russia. That similarity makes some fans believe that Johansson would be a great choice for a live-action version of the Grand Duchess of Russia ― in addition, of course, to the uncanny resemblance between the actress and the Disney royalty, as shown in this fan art.

#39 Keanu Reeves as Prince Charming

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 94

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Keanu Reeves revealed that he knows how to dance waltz, foxtrot, tango, and cha-cha-cha because he took some ballroom dancing lessons years ago. So if Reeves ends up playing Prince Charming in a potential live-action adaptation of Cinderella, viewers can expect some smooth dance moves from the actor.

#40 Keanu Reeves as Prince Phillip

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 95

With his impressive horse-riding skills and serious martial arts skills, Reeves could have slayed Dragon Maleficent in no time if he were Prince Phillip in the animated film Sleeping Beauty.

#41 Keanu Reeves as Prince Eric

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 96

While Reeves doesn’t share many similarities with The Little Mermaid’s Prince Eric, this fan art suggests that Ariel will still be happy if she ends up tying the knot with the Matrix star.

#42 Keanu Reeves as Aladdin

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 97

Though Reeves has played several roles on TV and in film since he launched his acting career in 1984, the actor has yet to portray a king or a prince. So it’s really nice to look at this fan art where Reeves finally gets the royal treatment he deserves.

#43 Keanu Reeves as The Prince

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 98

The role of The Prince in the 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was only minor. In fact, the character only made a total of two appearances in the whole movie. But that won’t be a problem for Reeves, who seemingly believes that there are really no small or big roles. A case in point is the actor’s recent cameo in Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe.

#44 Keanu Reeves as Prince Naveen

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 99

Playing the human form of Prince Naveen in a potential live-action adaptation of the The Princess and the Frog would be a walk in the park for Reeves. But how about playing the frog version of the Prince of Maldonia? Reeves recently lent his pipes for the character of Duke Caboom in Toy Story 4, and based on the review of his performance in the movie, it seems that Reeves could do the frog prince role some justice.

#45 Keanu Reeves as John Smith

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 100

Appearance-wise, Reeves doesn’t share lots of similarities with Pocahontas’ John Smith. But the actor could easily make up for that by displaying the charm, compassion, and selflessness that the role is known for.

#46 Keanu Reeves as Li Shang

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 101

Though Reeves doesn’t seem to have a background in bojutsu like Li Shang, the actor trained in jiu-jitsu, wushu, boxing, and krav maga, making him a perfect fit for a potential live-action version of Mulan’s love interest.

#47 Keanu Reeves as the Beast

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 102

Everybody loves Reeves, so it would be interesting to see how his fans would react when he plays the irritable, selfish, and temperamental version of the Beast in a potential new live-action adaptation of the 1991 animated film Beauty and the Beast.

#48 Tom Hanks as Woody

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 103

Tom Hanks is the voice of Woody in the Toy Story film series, and if you’re a huge fan of the franchise, then chances are you’ve wondered once or twice what the actor would look like if he played a live-action version of the pull-string cowboy doll. Well, wonder no more, as this amazing fan art shows that Hanks would also be a perfect fit for the character even in live-action form.

#49 Lupita Nyong’o as Fairy Iridessa

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 104

Lupita Nyong’o looks radiantly beautiful as Iridessa in this fan art based on the Disney Fairies franchise. Wearing what appears to be a yellow sweetheart dress with a sunflower seed on her chest, Iridessa sweetly shows off her twinkling fairy wings as she holds a fully bloomed sunflower that matches her ring, necklace, and earring.

#50 Jessica Alba as Fairy Fawn

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 105

Part of Helen Morgun’s Disney Fairies series, this very realistic artwork reimagines Jessica Alba as Fawn, an animal talent fairy known for her mirth and mischief. While Alba can’t talk to animals like Fawn, the actress is a huge animal lover. In fact, before becoming a mother, Alba was a dog mom to an American Bull Dog rescue, Bowie, and a pug named Sid.

#51 Lena Headey as The Evil Queen

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 106

With her critically acclaimed performance as the cold and manipulative Cersei Lannister on HBO’s Game of Thrones, Lena Headey would definitely make a strong candidate for a live-action version of the Evil Queen from the animated classic Snow White. Cersei and the Evil Queen appear to have the same personality traits, so playing the iconic Disney villain would be an easy task for the English actress.

#52 Lady Gaga as Ursula

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 107

Though Disney ended up casting Melissa McCarthy as Ursula in the upcoming live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, a lot of fans had actually campaigned for Lady Gaga to play the wicked sea witch. The singer-actress portrayed the bloodthirsty immortal witch Scáthach on FX’s American Horror Story: Roanoke, so her fans think that bringing Ursula to life is something that she can also pull off.

#53 Lili Reinhart as Alice

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 108

Appearance-wise, Lili Reinhart would make a strong contender for a live-action version of Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Like the titular character in the 1951 animated classic, the Riverdale star has a natural blonde hair. And even though Reinhart doesn’t share Alice’s blue eyes, the actress’ eyes are at least bluish green.

#54 Eva Green as Maleficent

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 109

After Eva Green’s impressive performance as the vengeful witch Angie Bouchard in the 2012 film Dark Shadows, a lot of fans think that she would also do well as a live-action version of Maleficent. Though Disney ultimately chose Angelina Jolie to play the vengeful witch in the Maleficent franchise, it seems that Green could also do justice to the iconic role.

#55 Tom Hiddleston as Hades

Celebs reimagined as Disney Princesses and Princes 110

Since Tom Hiddleston played Thor’s bitter brother, Loki, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the British actor has become one of the fan-favorites to play Hades in a potential live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1997 animated classic Hercules. The siblingship between Thor and Loki is somehow similar to Hades’ relationship with his brother Zeus, so playing the Supreme Nether Underlord on the big screen would probably be a piece of cake for Hiddleston.
