No. of Season: 4
Syfy originally greenlit a fifth season of Wynonna Earp as part of its fourth-season deal with series producer IDW Entertainment. However, the network announced last February that it decided to forgo the supposed season 5 due to a lack of funding from IDW. Since IDW owns the franchise, it’s not possible for Syfy to produce Wynonna Earp on its own as it does not hold the rights to the show.
Shortly after the cancellation, the show’s devoted fans, aka Earpers, launched the #BringWynonnaHome campaign in hopes to find a new U.S. distributor for the series. With striking publicity stunts, including billboards in major cities in the country, the #BringWynonnaHome campaign has been calling for networks and streaming services to save the supernatural Western drama. However, as of this writing, there’s no word yet if there’s a platform that has shown interest in picking up the series.
